Job Description:

Leidos’ Security Detection & Automation operation is seeking an Senior Azure DevOps engineer in Tewksbury, MA. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Azure DevOps engineer with a background in planning and implementing efficient DevOps pipelines using the latest suite of tools within Microsoft Azure DevOps. You would become a key team member in a cross-functional engineering team using cutting edge technology to develop truly novel solutions that make travel and trade safer, healthier, and more efficient on a global level.

Key responsibilities will also include:

Planning, coordinating, and implementing the migration of source code from various legacy source control systems into Microsoft Azure.

Creating, implementing, and monitoring Continuous Integration plans for various projects in Microsoft Azure.

Managing the archiving and release of release candidate software coming from the CI process.

Identifying source code baselines and providing input for reuse planning.

Generating status reports for engineering management for all active projects under your purview.

Participating in product and process improvement initiatives.

Mentoring software engineers new to Continuous Integration.

Cross-training with other engineering s to speed the adoption of DevOps best practices.

Required Education & Experience:

8+ years of overall experience and BS/BA in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.

2-5 years’ experience working in an Azure DevOps environment. Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer certification a plus.

Certified or demonstrable experience with cloud platforms in a production environment (MS Azure preferred).

1-3 years’ experience with Atlassian Tool suite, in particular Jira, Confluence, Xray, and Bitbucket..

Experience with Requirements Analysis and capture.

Familiarity with other source control tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, ClearCase, PVCS, or Perforce.

Familiarity with ISO - 27001 Information Security Management or NIST 800-171 Cybersecurity standards.

3-5 years’ experience with one or more Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, Extreme, or Kanban.

Ability to support multiple development teams concurrently.

Ability to identify program risks and devise mitigation strategies to minimize them.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.

Familiarity with one or more flavors of Linux, BSD, or Unix operating systems.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

The candidate should have a good understanding of the latest processes and methodologies for the development and operations and have gained some significant experience in building automated infrastructures and administering operating systems.

US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Azure DevOps Engineer

2-5 years’ experience working with Windows Server 2012 or newer.

Demonstrable history of successful deployment of software or products produced through the use of Azure DevOps.
