What you’ll be doing...

We're looking for developers who are passionate about Operations and Devops. If you have experience in best practice technical operations and love to collaborate with development teams, from design through the development process to production support we want to talk with you.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and architecture support for infrastructure delivery. Analyze solutions and technologies and make recommendations based on knowledge of the organization's current and future needs.
  • Partner with global dev/app teams convert business requirements into an architecture blueprint and conceptual design, based on the Architecture standards and usage guidelines.
  • Design and build Devops infrastructure and pipelines using modern Devops tools like Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CDK etc
  • Build and Maintain collaboration tools infrastructure.
  • Establish and manage application onboarding process for cloud adoption program. Develop self-service onboarding capabilities using collaborative tools like one confluence & JIRA.
  • Researching, architecting, designing, and deploying new tools, frameworks and patterns to build a sustainable cloud platform for the application teams.
  • Work closely with the software engineering teams and other parts of the company to provide robust, flexible, and scalable migration solutions.
  • Build requisite automation for repetitive yet complex tasks through the use of scripts/DevOps tools and pipeline.
  • Build support websites to aid in support, monitoring and installation of multiple applications across multiple environments and data centers.
  • Link multi-step and disparate processes together across domains: network operations, monitoring, capacity planning and other operational processes.
  • Design and implement processes, tools and scripts to allow applications to be self-healing.
  • Work with the Development, Engineering and Support teams to implement SRE best practices.
  • Monitor, measure and optimize build and deploy systems and processes.
  • Build or implement using tools and frameworks.
  • Responsibility for design, implementation and support of databases need to support your projects.
  • Continuous innovation and learning. Build continuous improvement and integration into your tools and processes.
  • Maintain disaster recovery plans and test them on a continual basis to ensure the minimum downtime.

Duties:

  • Independently troubleshoot complex systems and environments including applications, networking components and develop scripts, applications and processes to improve system stability.
  • Develop automation to build and maintain the cloud and physical data centers.
  • Provide support by resolving day to day technical roadblocks faced by the team, managing dependencies with partner teams to drive cloud migration in various domains including compute, network, security and cloud ops
  • Identify opportunities to leverage and train 1st line support to prevent escalations in the future.
  • Work with a variety of teams to design systems, develop and maintain scripts, websites and automation for use by the Operations Organization.
  • Leverage existing applications, tools and device REST APIs to automate tasks and workflows.
  • Proactively manages the configuration of the supported systems and makes changes/additions in real-time based on requests from Operations leadership.
  • Coordinate with other technical staff to implement changes to the application and systems.
  • Document processes, procedures, configurations, and deployment plans.
  • Setup, configure and maintain public, private cloud infrastructure.
  • Setup, configure and maintain monitoring tools.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • AWS certification – solution architect experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based and/or cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience with developing automation using modern Devops tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK etc.
  • Enterprise infrastructure architectural skills; with specific knowledge in networking, load balancing, compute infrastructure, storage management, and application operations. Ability to recommend new architecture solutions and sizing.
  • Knowledge of AWS and OCI public cloud services including VPC, ECS, EKS, EC2, ELB, Cloudwatch, VPC, VCN.etc.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service) and best practices to secure registries, images, workloads.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code concepts and related automation experience using tools like Cloud formation, Ansible, Jenkins.
  • Programming skills in multiple languages, including Java, .NET, Python, Perl, C (2 of). Experience of other languages suitable for rapid prototyping and functional development.
  • Experience working with SRE concepts and principles.
  • Experience of developing software for different deployment environments including virtualized workloads and containers.
