What you’ll be doing...

Looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer that will play a pivotal role in defining the DevOps road map in terms of continuous build and deployment of the Visible Platform across various environments. Primary focus should be on the complete automation of the DevOps tasks and integrating the pipeline with the automated testing tools. Responsible for managing, planning and developing DevOps flows for Web / Mobile Apps, Microservices in Kubernetes platform, Middleware components and Salesforce Platforms.

  • Manage planning and development of DevOps pipeline for web / mobile apps, microservices, middleware and salesforce platforms.
  • Provide lead guidance and manage resources across global IT delivery centers.
  • Work on the builds using Gitlab on the Google cloud platform.
  • Track progress of multiple project plans/sprints.
  • Manage the code checkin for various components into Gitlab.
  • Work and partner with development teams and operations teams.
  • Integrate the DevOps pipeline with the automated testing tools (e.g., selenium / JMeters /QTest).
  • Automate the scheduled deployments of the code base into non-prod environments.
  • Complete automation of the production build / deployment /testing.
  • Incorporate static security scan tools into the DevOps process.
  • Ensure projects follow operating practices for Visible and enhance the processes as needed.
  • Work closely with QA and UAT Teams.
  • Work on automating the environment build in a private/public cloud.
  • Provide demos to the product and senior management team when necessary.
  • Provide inputs on deployment audit reporting.
  • Work on creating deployment dashboards per environment and health of the environment.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience leading others effectively.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and techniques.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
  • Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to track and drive multiple requests independently.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with engineers (staff and peers), development teams, and operations teams.
  • Ability to mentor members as needed.
  • Domain (Telecom) subject matter expertise and strong business knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Technical skills including: Gitlab, Ansible,J-meter,Selenium,Java Scripting,Load Runner,Neo-Load,Performance Analytics,JIRA,Stash,Bit Bucket, and software secure delivery lifecycle.
