Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Technical Lead/Full Stack Developer for a critical and strategic new opportunity supporting the United States Space Force/Space Systems Center Enterprise Cross-mission Ground’s Defensive Cyber Operations for Space Branch (SSC/ECXCO). SSC/ECXCO is designated as the responsible office to provide enterprise level DCO capability to the Space Enterprise. To accomplish the mission, applicant will be part of a team to prototype key defensive cyber features to include delivering space enterprise protection and threat detection, identification, protection, and response capabilities; Developing cyber solutions for the Enterprise Ground Service and future space systems; Providing operationally relevant cyberspace solutions through iterative development to meet mission needs today; Supporting legacy mission systems innovation/modernization during transition to Enterprise Ground Systems. These capabilities are to be provided by Leidos via a small Agile SW Development team, co-located with the SSC/ECXCO customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a full time position that must work at a customer location and no telework is allowed. TS/SCI clearance required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the SAFe governance layer participants & stakeholders on program execution
  • Facilitate allocation of work and new resources to ARTs
  • Monitor program performance; resolve impediments; develop and implement solutions for driving improvement
  • Coordinate schedule execution and plan program-wide software/architecture releases
  • Lead Program Increment (PI) Planning, including logistics and technical preparation
  • Lead cross-team collaboration in support of development, testing, and deployment efforts
  • Track the execution of features and capabilities through Metrics across program’s agile and DevOps teams
  • Brief customers on the development progress throughout the PI cycle on program status, including the status of testing, deployment, and release readiness
  • Assess skillset needs and collaborate with leadership to staff program openings
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
  • Promote teamwork to achieve PI goals
  • Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
  • Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
  • Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end
  • Unit testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Write technical documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering and 15+ years experience.
  • Holds an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Ability to Supervise up to 9 people.​
  • Familiarity with cross-functional team leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming languages: C, C#, C++, HTML, CSS, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, Perl, VBA
  • PhD. In computer science or Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Training or certification: PMI-ACP, APMG
  • Applications/Frameworks: Kibana, ElasticSearch Web Services, Elastic Stack (ELK), React.js. React Native, Material UI, Git, GitHub, bash, Subversion, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, phpMyAdmin, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Mongo, JSON, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Basic knowledge in the following: Agile Software Development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, military operations, government contracting, program management, project management, and strategic planning.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00
