What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking an experienced resource who will be working on the delivery of several critical programs in the SOR billing platform. This role will partner with multiple teams on technical and functional issues, evaluate options and implement scalable solutions. The individual with have the ability to work with program and project leaders to define and create the architectural depictions and documents, ensuring logical flow, and address all issues. The candidate must have experience with a variety of software programs and languages and possess sound knowledge in Billing functions. Along with closely collaborating with internal Verizon technical teams, this role will also be expected to manage vendor deliveries and drive vendor product roadmap based on business needs. The individual will be responsible:

• Lead the team to deliver the products and support the production and testing in AWS environment.
• Review service performance and recommend strategies to achieve higher performance and availability
• Maintain code quality, organization and automatic testing tools.
• Working as part of our team, to help define the tools, processes and methods and develop systems that will utilize private and public clouds.
• Review, assess, recommend, and provide guidance and expert advice in the areas of system architectures, frameworks, methodologies, patterns and best practices.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders from a strategic perspective to identify and exploit opportunities to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of emerging technologies and assess competing products or vendors that can address enterprise level use cases.
• Communicate at the right level of detail and with a clear message when interacting with any level of stakeholder.
• Network and collaborate with Technical and business leaders of multiple organizations, develop viewpoints on industry and technology trends, publish viewpoints for industry consumption, and speak in reputed industry and partner forums.
• Understanding security vulnerabilities from external as well as internal and how to address them.
• Coaching and mentoring junior team members.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Open system platform (Java, spring boot)

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Ten or more years’of experience in Open system platform (Java, spring boot)
• Experiencein Cassandra, Oracle, Postgres, AWS kubernetes platform
• Experience in Reactive framework.
• Proficientexperience in agile methodologies.
• Experience in IT and worked as an Architecture Lead.
• Experience with all phases of Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
• Teamwork andcollaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams
  Communication.
• Stockholder management skills
• Problem solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues
• Experience in developing and implement solid, scalable and flexible software solutions for business and application teams migrating, transforming, and/or developing applications in the public cloud (AWS).
• Knowledge of database design and database concepts.
• Knowledge of J2EE, Java application servers and related technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate user needs or specifications and translate them in a logical and practical set of software components.
• Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong Business Analysis skills
