Verizon is looking for out-of-the-box thinkers to help us build and operate the Verizon Cloud Platform (VCP). People who are hard-working, and really want to help transform the way we do operations. Want to work with a small team of dedicated and experienced software developers on the delivery of fast-paced, agile projects ? We are looking for an experienced full stack software developer to join the VCP Tools Development team, where personality is as important as skill set. Someone with experience building amazingwebsites, easy-to-use tools and seemless integrations to external systems. Someone who is results-oriented with a can-do attitude.

• Design, build, test, deploy and operate modern web applications and services.
• Execute continuous integration / continuous deployment (CICD), and DevOps best practices.
• Write complete end-to-end tests at eighty five percentage or more coverage.
• Work as part of our technology team to further our efforts around performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
• Identify and help evaluate new technologies.
• Work closely with Product Owners to drive new feature creation, software testing and quality assurance.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong web application development using ReactJS (Preferred) or Angular, Javascript frameworks, NodeJS, Redux, etc.
• Working experience with GIT and JIRA.
• Strong knowledge of core programming fundamentals.
• Experience working with RESTful API services.
• Experience with distributed SQL databases.
• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines - Gitlab preferred
• Knowledge with using container based APIs including Docker, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Work in dynamic, independently, and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal skills and detail oriented.
