Summary:
The Worldwide Omni-Channel Capabilities Team creates and evolves next generation marketing capabilities to support the business and the customer. Through optimization and standardization, this team drives innovation, defines working models, supports execution, and enhances the customer experience.

The Associate Director, Social Media & Influencer Engagement Capabilities will lead the development, implementation, and coordination of social media strategies and influencer engagement to support the business objectives for Bristol Myers Squibb brands. You will work in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders across platforms, functions, and geographies and will need to be well-versed on social media channels (paid and organic strategies), trends, best practices, and influencer and community engagement. This role offers a hybrid, flexible work environment to be determined with the hiring manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of governance for commercial social media initiatives, utilized by all BMS brands

  • Provide social media expertise and counsel to our internal organization, staying aware of evolving internal and external social media guidelines

  • Provide input on social media initiatives as they go through Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review, as needed

  • Work with internal and external partners (agency partners, platform vendors, and technology platforms) to drive innovation in social media and to vet, test, and learn from concepts

  • Lead the influencer engagement capability by driving strategy, maintaining ongoing relationships, identifying and prioritizing key channels and influencers, and establishing standards on engagement and interaction

  • Identify needs for social capabilities and solution enhancement across the enterprise that contributes to the capability roadmap

  • Reinforce the channel operating model, channel standards, and industry best practices

  • Collaborate and build strong relationships across BMS teams (Marketing Hubs, IT, MLR, Public Affairs, and Business Units) on key activities like planning, prioritizing, and implementing support for key omnichannel capabilities

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other related field. A related advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years experience in marketing, social media, and/or influencer engagement

  • Pharma, healthcare, or experience in another regulated industry is desired

  • Authoritative knowledge of social media platform capabilities and functionality is required

  • Experience with social media systems used for publishing, listening, and advertising

  • Leadership experience and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues

  • Strong understanding of analytics, social listening, influencer engagement

  • Possess a change agent attitude; responsibly pushing brands to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Highly accountable self-starter, organized, collaborative, solutions-oriented
