What you'll be doing...

The Associate Director, Marketing & Customer Experience (CX) Technologies, a pivotal leadership role within the Verizon Business Group marketing team, will be at the forefront of blending technology, process, and people to scale our marketing and CX efforts. You'll join a team of marketing technology (Martech) experts with a reputation for delivering strong results and focusing on innovative solutions.

You'll be leading the advancement and maturity of the Martech stack, ensuring it supports current and future marketing strategies and campaign needs, and integrates seamlessly with other corporate technologies. Working with cross-functional teams including enterprise architecture, IT, marketing, sales operations, and CX specialists, you'll craft roadmaps to deliver new capabilities and improve upon existing processes. Driving innovation in the areas of GenAI, personalization, and end-to-end customer experiences is must.

You have a strong technical acumen, especially in marketing operations technology, customer relationship management solutions, digital marketing, and AI applications. You believe in empowering your team to take action and enjoy helping them develop their careers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with IT and vendor partners to innovate and implement use cases.
  • Translating product strategy into a roadmap with well-defined and prioritized user stories, and features and enablers.
  • Actively participating in cross-functional teams, representing marketing in broader corporate strategic planning, operations, and technology discussions.
  • Acting as an expert on Martech stack capabilities and represent them in campaign design, IT grooming and solutioning sessions.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and governing Adobe Experience Platform and other technologies in the Martech stack, including integrations with business and third-party systems; data flows; enabling new features; and troubleshooting.
  • Leading a technical team, creating career development plans and helping them thrive.
  • Prioritizing work, ensuring requirements and deadlines are communicated and holding task owners accountable.
  • Establishing objective goals for Adobe Experience Platform with success and acceptance criteria using meaningful metrics, KPIs, and quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Serving as Adobe Experience Platform evangelist across Verizon Business Group.
  • Helping to manage the end-to-end technology stack.
  • Establishing processes for technology delivery and new platform onboarding.
  • Leading the annual planning process, including facilitating development of business cases.
  • Facilitating progress tracking and monthly operating reviews to ensure departmental goals are met.

You're a Martech enthusiast, capable of delivering and growing the Martech stack based on business priorities. You can manage stakeholders smoothly, building relationships across the business unit.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing, leading and developing teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Cloud implementations (Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Marketo Engage, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, etc).
  • Five or more years of experience in marketing technology management, particularly in developing and maturing a Martech stack.
  • Three or more years experience leading complex projects that involve technology implementation and innovation for large enterprises.
  • Experience working collaboratively across various business functions and levels in a dynamic, environment.
  • Experience in strategic planning and prioritization of competing requests.
  • Experience solving complex business problems to maximize value leveraging tech stack capabilities and features.
  • Experience partnering with vendors and IT to drive new technology capabilities and innovation.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Cloud implementations (Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Marketo Engage, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, etc)
  • Two or more years experience with Customer Data Platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Medallia, Qualtrics, or equivalent CX technology platforms.
  • Adobe Business Practitioner certifications on the Products above (or equivalent).
  • Ability to use storytelling to influence decisions and presenting to all levels.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on influence and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior communication, critical conversation skills, and collaboration.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
  • Ability to represent marketing interests in wider corporate strategy and planning discussions.
