Offering customers a choice in how they use our products and serviceswhile maintaining enterprise-grade reliability, security and interoperabilityis important to our corporate strategy.Position/Group Overview:Global Travel delivers innovative solutions through sourcing & supplier management to implement efficient processes, optimize spend, ensure traveler safety, mitigate risk and meet Oracle business requirements.As an organization we have a number of key priorities: 1) Deliver quality service & suppliers to our employee traveling population.2) Deliver cost savings through reducing Total Cost of Ownership3) Maintain a continuous focus on traveler safety & security 4) Ensure compliance to the program as per T&E policy5) To recruit, retain and develop a high performance organization. 6) To compliment and add value to other Oracle LOBs and geographies 7) Ensure a common understanding of our Business priorities across all regionsThe Director, Global Travel Operations will have a key role in working across the Global Travel team in defining strategies and objectives, leading their implementation in support of program Key Performance Metrics, and monitoring progress thereafter.The Director, Global Travel Operations reports direct (solid-line) to the Sr. Director, Global Travel, Meetings & Card Program Lead.Responsibilities:* Responsible for daily Global Travel operations for the Global Travel Program* Focus on reducing Total Cost of Ownership for program* Responsible for analyzing travel spend patterns in an effort to improve supplier offerings, pricing and/or process efficiency across the Program.* Supplier Relationship Management for Tier one suppliers: TMC, Online Booking Tool and our Safety & Security supplier. Assesses overall Global performance for all stakeholders with relevant management information (e.g., performance against KPIs, trend analysis).* Responsible for ongoing monitoring and benchmarking of Program & industry trends, for process improvement and/or supplier innovation opportunities to develop new program initiatives* Collaborates with Global Travel Sourcing team on supplier requirements and recommendations* Leads the travel operations team: sets goals & initiatives, monitors and supports project management across team, manages staff development and training opportunities* Regular interaction and collaboration with internal stakeholders: Global Physical Security, Human Resources etc.Preferred Qualifications:* Educated to Degree Level. BA/BS* More than 10 years of experience and strong track record in Travel Management* Experience managing a Global Program and globally distributed team* Direct Procurement experience a plus* Prior experience leading a team* Strong communication and collaboration skills* Strong business ethics, must be enthusiastic and team orientated* Systems and process oriented.* Sensitive to figures and strong analytical skills* Project management experience would be an advantage* Ability to drive change management.* Pro-active behavior, good organization and time management* Services and Business oriented.* Excellent presentation skills**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Responsible for overseeing activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, components, and equipment. Manages a professional staff.Develops and implements policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities. May review and approve purchases up to a specified dollar amount. May negotiate major contracts involving large dollar amounts. Interacts with suppliers to resolve issues and maintain the Oracle/Supplier relationship. May analyze and summarize global commodity spending trends to identify cost saving opportunities. Monitors activities to ensure Oracle's Global Purchasing/Finance policy objectives are met. May review standard and nonstandard contracts. Identify, propose and initiate implementation of process efficiencies/improvements.Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated knowledge of commodities and assigned Local Countries.
