The Defense Group at Leidos has a career opening for a Quality Process Auditor to work in our Bridgewater, VA office supporting multiple Department of Defense and other agencies/partners. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to use your experience to advance the Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Division programs. In this role, you’ll be auditing Leidos and subcontractors to ensure compliance to Leidos Enterprise processes, AS9100 quality requirements, and DCMA INST 8210.1 requirements for multiple programs that provide various products/services. You will have the opportunity to learn Leidos quality processes for auditing, report writing, and nonconformance issuance including corrective actions, root cause analysis, and verification/validation techniques. With this position there is an ever changing and evolving system of improving the Leidos Enterprise and the position will allow for growth, development, and ability to drive program and company improvements into the future.

THE CHALLENGE (Primary Responsibilities)

  • Development, coordination, and communication of quality plans and schedules.

  • Perform audits, assessments, and/or inspections in accordance with Leidos Enterprise processes, AS9100, IS-BAO and DCMA INST 8210.1

  • Ensure quality standards are met to ensure program compliance.

  • Ensure Leidos policies and procedures, FAA regulations and customer requirements are being met

  • Generate nonconformance or improvement write ups and work with prime and subcontract personnel to address corrections, corrective actions, and root cause analysis to resolution.

  • Attend and provide inputs for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings to higher level quality management.

  • Deployment and implementation of appropriate QMS processes.

  • Document and track inspection metrics and perform data analytics as required.

  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required for program support and/or quality audits (as required).

  • Maintain currency for periodic program and company training compliance courses.

  • Provide support to new business development

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quality related field such as:

    • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology

    • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management

    • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management Minor

    • Bachelor’s degree in related Quality Assurance or Quality Control field.

  • BS degree and 3 years of relevant experience or Masters with 1 years of prior relevant Quality Auditing/Inspecting experience OR 5 Years of experience in lieu of degree

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI if required.

  • Professional attitude, logical minded, process oriented, organized, responsible, and accountable with minimum oversight.

  • Ability to research and comprehend aviation program manuals, forms, and records.

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a valid passport

  • Must be willing and able to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed (OCONUS travel may include Hardship & Hazardous locations) 20% Maximum.

  • Must be highly proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office products (Office, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, and Power BI).

  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Security Clearance Required

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI if required.

Travel Requirement

  • Must be willing and able to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed (OCONUS travel may include Hardship & Hazardous locations) 20% Maximum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification

  • In depth knowledge of DCMA 8210.1C

  • In depth knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9110 requirements.

  • Additional years of experience directly working in aviation programs in support of defense contracts under DCMA INST 8210.1 /AR 95-20 requirements may be considered in lieu of degree.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
