The Intercontinental IMIC Lead is an experienced analytics professional who will be responsible for cross-market analytics, insights and capabilities development and deployment within the BMS Intercontinental Region. The Intercontinental IMIC Lead will be the main stakeholder point of contact for Intercontinental above market commercial, finance, and BIA leaders and support them through analyzing cross market and cross portfolio performance, contextualizing market event dynamics, and harmonizing performance across markets. To enhance local BI&A in-market teams, the Intercontinental IMIC Lead will facilitate cross-market sharing, ensure consistent understanding of events and impact, and help to identify, develop and deploy new technologies and training. The Intercontinental IMIC Lead will be responsible for brand performance relevant to Intercontinental, collaborating with leads across International Market Insight & Capabilities and the Enterprise Strategy & Performance, Intercontinental Lead.

The Intercontinental IMIC Lead must have the ability to provide strategic direction and oversight, represent the team for to senior commercial leaders, and lead/participate on internal/external initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties

  • Main point of contact for BIA ES&P Intercontinental Lead, In-Market BI&A Team, Intercontinental above market leaders, and central BI&A
  • Leads (including overall timelines and process) Intercontinental Projection/Budget cross-market consolidation and performance consolidation ad hoc analytics
  • Process improvement and efficiencies both central and in-market for Intercontinental
  • Full understanding on the model development/enhancement requirements for Intercontinental, collaborating with Modeling & Capabilities Lead and supporting communication with the market teams
  • Collaborate with Intercontinental Commercial leaders to understand the need of cross market analytics and then perform cross-market analytics
  • Support Intercontinental Commercial Leaders to identify growth opportunities at region level especially during Projection/Budget
  • Drive harmonization across markets and ensure consistent understanding of events and impact across Intercontinental
  • Provide input to Modeling & Capabilities Lead to drive consistency (common approaches) to develop forecast assumptions in Intercontinental
  • Partner with Modeling & Capabilities lead to deploy New Forecast Models & Reflect aligned feedback (including ES&P Intercontinental Lead and local BI&A teams)
  • Responsible for monthly or Quarterly performance to Intercontinental Commercial Leadership including trending
  • Maintain Close collaboration with ES&P Intercontinental lead
  • Guide & collaborate: Performance scorecards (KPIs)/ Reporting Strategy

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required
  • MBA or Masters in a quantitative major or concentration preferred
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical/related market experience, including working knowledge of various analytical capabilities
  • Ability to leverage large, multi-dimensional data sets to drive business decisions
  • Ability to synthesize complex information sets & successfully communicate simply to the senior TA leaders – leading to smart & data-driven decision making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues and present to business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare marketplace dynamics preferred
  • Proficiency and familiarity with analytics/data tools such as, SAS, Access, Spotfire, Tableau,, etc. strongly recommended.
  • Experience in leading and managing cross-functional projects
  • Management experience preferred or applicable work experience demonstrating the ability to manage and mentor people, excellent influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
