Leidos is a FORTUNE 500 company bringing a mix of innovative technology and sector expertise to customers in the national security, engineering, and the health industries. Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator for a position as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Montgomery, Alabama. This is a full time position that must work in Montgomery, AL. No full time telework is allowed.

The Systems Administrator will support tasks on the contract related to the UCSA Core Infrastructure. The UCSA core services help create a secure, consolidated and integrated DCO and SA environment for cybersecurity analysts within the DoD to protect and defend the DODIN. All UCSA infrastructure systems together within the current UCSA Area of Responsibility (AOR) currently consist of 577 servers, 280 network devices, 311 workstations, 36 storage devices and 36 appliances. Core infrastructure is currently 80% virtualized.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.

  • Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.

  • Installing hardware (if Government waiver is approved), installing virtual components as systems, installing servers, installing operating systems, installing software, uninstalling software, monitoring systems and processes, patching operating systems and software applications, installing network devices, configuring network devices, patching network devices, monitoring network devices, installing storage and database systems, patching storage and database systems, configuring and tuning system processes, and troubleshooting and resolving problems with the existing infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Arts or Bachelor's of Science in a technical discipline and 2+ years of relevant work experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Federal Government Network Management is absolutely necessary.

  • Managing file and share permissions in an Active Directory environment

  • Familiarity with SAN administration

  • Storage monitoring and performance tuning

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Unix or Linux based operating systems

  • Proficient with Linux

  • Qualified IA personnel IAW DoD 8570/DoD 8140, minimum IAT II.

  • Active Secret Clearance Required with ability to obtain a Top Secret

  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DISA Network Enclaves

  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret if required by the contract

Pay Range:

Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00
