What you’ll be doing...

You will provide Tier 3 technical support level for customer's Global network environment including but not limited to Network incident identification, documentation, escalation and resolution.

  • Provide Network advanced technical support and direction to lower level technicians in a Network Operation environment.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for highly escalated incidents with the ability to create ad-hoc design documentation that outline the source and destination and determine points of failure
  • Responsible for projects related to customer security Vulnerabilities/Audit assessment.
  • Engage on customer’s network projects to provide inputs from Operations perspective.
  • Acts as Operations representative on the discussions related to new Verizon products to be launched.
  • Engage on the Bids process to review the technical requirements.

You will be working on cutting edge technologies (5G, SDWAN, VNS, Cloud, Mobile Edge Computing, and more.), participating in the conception of Verizon new products, and supporting the Fortune 500 Global clients.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Network troubleshooting and configuring routers and switches (LAN/WAN/Wireless environment).
  • Knowledge of the OSI model, including TCP/IP, client/server designs, routing protocols (including but not limited to OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), LAN technologies (including but not limited to Ethernet, Wireless, VLANs, NAT, ACLs, QoS), WAN technologies (including but not limited to Internet, MPLS,Frame-Relay, ISDN, etc.).
  • One or more years of experience in troubleshooting SDWAN (Software Defined Networking) and Virtual Network Services type of technologies.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) “Routing and Switching” Certification.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better to have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong customer service and support skills.
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills is a must with the ability to articulated and technically lead major incident bridges
  • Strong involvement with rest of T3 team in your engagement
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment at times
  • Ability to take ownership of technical issues until completion
  • Knowledge on NetDevOps automation (Ansible/Python).
  • Knowledge on Cisco ACI and Data Center related technologies.
  • Knowledge and/or certifications including but not limited to Juniper, ITIL, Meraki, VMWare, and Cloud Services.
