What you’ll be doing...

The Procurement Management and ASP Engineering Team manages a wide variety of responsibilities for our Network Group. From contract negotiations with third party suppliers that bring services and support into the Verizon Network to performance monitoring and troubleshooting of operational issues. ASPs are external third-party companies that provide data, content, or other services which enable our commercial wireless data offerings to our customers.

Yourprimary role will be working with internal and external teams to develop a database to mine all the various contracts for all of Network’s services to be able to query and create meaningful comparisons of like terms, assist product owners in negotiations by providing comparative pricing models, and help ASP Operations personnel manage contractual terms. This will formulate the launch of PMT’s 2.0 launch of our internal portal. Subsequently, the database shall enable the reporting of efficiency models that will take quarterly operational input and characterize suppliers against their relative cost structures to inform the business on which suppliers are returning the best value against the investment.

Youwill be working closely with internal contract team members to help inform the design and structure of the database. You will also interface with product managers and owners external to our team as well as other ASP Operations teams to create alarming and notifications when specific contractual terms are approaching critical milestones to prevent service disruptions.

  • Create the database structure from scratch to include various contractual terms as entry fields.
  • Work with internal Network security teams as well as cloud platform teams for a secure and redundant solution.
  • Work with internal teammates on creating data-entry fields to populate the database with existing contract terms as well as onboard newly execute contracts.
  • Create query strings for various parameters, including specific KPI’s, expirations, network deployment types as well as monthly/annual operational expenses.
  • Create alarms against specific contract values to alert product owners when certs may need to be reviewed or contracts extended with sufficient lead time to execution without disruption, or when contracts have reached a specific target period whereby an RFP should be launched to investigate the market for emergent suppliers.
  • Create quarterly reporting that evaluates all suppliers against common contractual terms, network deployment types, or even KPI standards.
  • Develop the efficiency model that compares pricing against network types, KPI targets and compares that to quarterly operational review data supplied by the ASP Operators.
  • Create and present ad-hoc reporting to leadership and stakeholder teams, both internal and external.
  • Be driven to continuously seek opportunities for improvement of the system(s) and process(es) to better serve the needs of customers, both internal and external.
