The Leidos Defense Group is seeking a Network Engineer to support the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 lab at our facility in Chesapeake VA. Support includes all facets of troubleshooting, network configuration and administration. The Network Engineer will also support the repair and testing of commercial off the shelf (COTS) material that is returned from the Fleet.

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:

  • Lab support to ensure system is available for training and technical documentation development.

  • Updates to both lab hardware and software, ensuring configuration control is maintained.

  • Direct fleet repair support and engineering services for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Sonar system.

  • Provide technical and repair support to US Navy Supply for asset repair of AN/SQQ-89(V) system components (Symmetric Multiprocessors (SMPs), Portable Maintenance devices, tape drives, computers, etc).

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Experience with AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 or APB Operations and Maintenance

  • Experience in network and IT equipment evaluation/test/repair, and technical troubleshooting and corrective maintenance development

  • Linux skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Security+ certification

  • BS degree and 2 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:

  • Experience in technical support in a classified lab environment

  • Former AN/SQQ-89 Sonar Technician

  • Familiarity with IA/Cyber Security regulations, policies, and assessments

Clearance Required:

  • Must have and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $54,600.00 - $84,000.00 - $113,400.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
