Job Summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced and innovative Network Engineer to provide support for multi-national cyber ranges at U.S Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) at Camp H.M. Smith, HI.

You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you:

  • Are highly knowledgeable on Department of Defense (DoD) networks as well as open architecture design and integration

You will assist in planning and implementing an extensive range of network technologies, software applications and tools across multiple enclaves that will enable multi-lateral cyber training. You'll assist USINDOPACOM stakeholders in analyzing mission needs statements; defining requirements; and evaluating the interoperability of selected technologies, systems, services, standards in order to identify and provide potential design/TTP changes to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency benefits of the network architecture.

You will provide support to sustained network operations as well as documentation to assist in maintaining continuity for both network design and operations. You'll also assist with the testing of devices, identification of potential problem areas, and development of courses of action for mitigation or remediation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Must meet DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (or be able to obtain within 6 months)
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with CISCO and Juniper switching infrastructures
  • Ability to identify requirements for network routers, switches, firewalls, Video Teleconferencing (VTC)-specialized equipment, and all related network devices on operational network
  • Ability to identify policy and technical requirements for integration of networks with multi-national and DoD stakeholders and their desired operational networks to include network security requirements and potential vulnerabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint collaborative tools
  • Due to the nature of work, must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Virtualization experience with VMware environments, including installation, configuration, upgrading, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues to include Vmware, Kernel Virtual Manager, vSAN
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III
  • Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III
