Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a talented Sr. Project Manager to perform day-to-day management of software development projects. The candidate’s duties will include, but are not limited to, developing long-term and strategic objectives, identifying end user requirements, performing horizontal integration planning with other functional areas, and ensuring technical solutions are implemented in a timely manner. Projects will consist of managing several software development activities utilizing SAFe Agile.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development, test, accreditation, deployment, and maintenance of multiple enterprise database applications
• Direct the daily operations of the projects by establishing priorities, analyzing workflow, and developing standard operating procedures
• Work with application stakeholders, including end users and government sponsors, to identify and prioritize new feature development and release schedules
• Support multiple Agile teams in the role of Product Owner
• Develop and maintain Scrum Product Backlogs
• Ensure that project tasks are completed on schedule
• Manage project risk and external dependencies
• Remain conscious of relevant security polices
• Ensure applicable Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology Management or technical discipline with 15+ years’ related experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years as a Project Manager managing technical projects in a customer’s environment
• PMP Certification
• Must have experience managing software development projects from initiation through deployment, operations, and sustainment utilizing SAFe or other Agile software project management frameworks
• Experience managing projects using the customer’s Project Management Framework (PMF)
• Proven experience coordinating and synchronizing a number of IT projects, developing and maintaining a master schedule, and preparing senior management communication briefs
• Experience managing multiple software development projects at the same time
• Proven experience leading teams and working across organizational boundaries to meet mission requirements
• Proven experience briefing senior leadership
• Experience utilizing MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Experience using Jira or other Agile project management tools
• Proven experience streamlining processes and procedures
• Proven experience managing projects within schedule, scope, and cost

Desired Qualifications

• Scrum Master or SAFe Agile certification

Clearance

• Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph to be considered for this position
