What you'll be doing...

This role will lead and support all digital sales business sponsored enhancements and initiatives by implementing efficient strategic test plans through all Maintenance/Enterprise and Adhoc Releases. This includes understanding the capabilities of new technical and analytical tools, relevant to applicable systems, in order to help strategize and implement best solutions for web/mobile applications.

This UAT role will also assist the team with strategic planning, and implementing testing techniques for all evaluated scope of work for the UAT team. This includes the preparation and creation of all required test planning tasks: test scripts (manual/automated), feature files, test data, defect management, issue resolution, project status reporting, and production implementation plans. This role will require a deep knowledge of industry technical skills and tools (preferably Selenium) to help leverage the power of automation and ATDD.

This role will support both the execution of test plans pre-launch, and troubleshooting post-launch. The analyst will execute test plans for various deliverables within the program (data, logic, UX, integration, and reporting) and serve as the troubleshooting expert for the program. The test analyst will ensure proper use of defect management tools and assign defects to the appropriate area (Logic, UI, Reporting, Data, and Integration). Occasional afterhours/ weekend work will be required. Candidates must be familiar with mobile application management with iOS and Android and the following software; JIRA, QTest, Browser based applications, and ACSS. Additional software knowledge includes Verizon Data Retrieval Tool (VDRT), and Access Manager (AM Tool).

Responsibilities:

  • Lowering environment testing preparation and readiness (data quality, availability, system ties, etc)
  • Testing management & execution (coordination, communications, collaboration, scheduling, etc)
  • Troubleshooting monitoring
  • Troubleshooting investigation and assessment, from validation through recommendation for resolution
  • Troubleshooting risk assessment, communications
  • Involvement in requirements analysis for all Verizon tiered initiatives impacting the Mobile web/app, Tablet, and Desktop Platforms.
  • Training and upskilling to ensure they are up to date with the changing environment, technology, and best practices for testing.
  • Utilization of QTest for test case management and JIRA for defect logging and management.
  • Ensuring testing is completed within established time and that objectives conform to the user requirements and needs of the business.
  • Overall product delivery and approval/sign off.
  • Release Production Testing, Implementation and Launch support as well as Warranty issue tracking.
  • Process Improvement recommendation.

You'll need to have:
  • Associate's degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Two or more years of testing experience.
  • Knowledge of software testing and/or software integration testing.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Three or more years' experience in Mobile App, Mobile Web testing.
  • Three or more years Wireless/Channel experience.
  • Working knowledge/experience with UAT processes.
  • Customer experience testing.
  • Experience with Agile process.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with JIRA tools.
  • Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, QTP).
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet UAT deadlines - nights and weekends for testing and support.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $70,000.00 and $130,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
