We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer/Administrator to join our dynamic and innovative IT team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools, with a primary focus on Power BI and Power Automate. Additionally, you will contribute to the administration of our GCC-High Power BI tenant alongside your teammates.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and other development teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that align with the strategic objectives of our organization.

Primary Power BI Responsibilities:

  • Successful delivery and support of high visibility reports – desktop, mobile, and dashboards reports.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and end users to evaluate business requirements and advise on appropriate informative views and dashboards.
  • Design, develop, deploy and configure Power BI Reports and Apps to support customers based on business requirements.
  • Perform data integration and manipulation tasks using connectors and APIs.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of Power BI solutions.

Primary Power BI Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Configure environment settings, including security, data policies, and connection references.
  • Manage user access and permissions to Power Platform applications and resources.
  • Configure and enforce security policies to protect data and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain the Power Platform environment’s governance policies, best practices and security standards.
  • Monitor and manage Power Platform licenses to ensure compliance with licensing agreements
  • Monitor and optimize Power BI performance
  • Configure and manage gateways for on-premise data sources
  • Troubleshoot data refresh and connectivity issues
  • Configure and manage Power Platform Center of Excellence Toolkit
  • Leverage the CoE toolkit to analyze organization’s Power Platform adoption.
  • Understand usage patterns, identify areas for improvement, and track progress.
  • Implement audit and compliance mechanisms.
  • Dive into the toolkit, explore its resources, and customize to meet organization’s unique needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates in the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem and evaluate their applicability to business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience in Information Technology field.
  • Prior experience must include 4+ years of Power BI development and administration, including strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and M Query Language.
  • Expert designer of information visualizations and dashboards.
  • Experience in creating visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data integration techniques, and REST APIs
  • Experience with Power BI tenant administration (tenant settings, capacity monitoring, security, and data governance)
  • Knowledge of data integration techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • US Citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure Portal, M365 Admin portal, PowerShell Scripting, Rest APIs, Power BI usage & capacity reporting, Power Automate, Power Apps, and GCC-High.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications are preferred.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
