What you will do

  • Lead or provide support to multiple projects concurrently, consisting of process improvements, identification and/or implementation of new manufacturing technologies, with an emphasis on sustainment activities.

  • Continuously comply will all related regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and improve opportunities on currently established manufacturing processes using six sigma methodologies (i.e. D_M_A_I_C).

  • Evaluate, select and implement new technologies for assembly and/or manufacturing processes.

  • Evaluate select new automated equipment as needed to ensure product quality and improve process efficiency at minimum cost.

  • Justify capital equipment expenditures.

  • Establish and maintain the Validation strategy for new processes and equipment.

  • Plan and execute validation protocols including IQ, OQ, PQ and Software Validation as required.

  • Ensure manufacturing procedures (i.e PPM’s) and validations are complete, accurate and within QSR and internal procedures compliance.

  • Develop and/or revise task instructions and operational procedures (i.e. PPM’s) for new processes and equipment.

  • Provide updates on assigned topics to appropriate personnel.

  • May assist in the new products introduction.

  • May interact with Engineering, Quality and R&D during the selection and implementation of new technologies.

  • Communicate to the EHS Department, in a timely manner, information related to new products or technology to be transferred to the facility.

  • Commit to the EHS policy.

What you will need

  • 10-12 years of experience on a Technical/Manufacturing Environment or equivalent

  • Experience with process development or equivalent experience

  • Experience in vertical integration projects.

  • Experience in Project management.

  • Experience in New Technology transfer

  • Preferable Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics

  • Knowledge on Lean Mfg and Six Sigma programs

  • Knowledge of QSR/ISO regulations and standards.

  • Approved training or knowledge in pneumatic systems, electronics systems, Industrial controls

  • Approved training or knowledge is preferable on: Manufacturing technologies or processes (i.e Grinding, EDM processes). Measurement systems (i.e OGP, CMM, etc.)

  • Professional certification (CME, Lead Auditor) are preferable.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools and test/inspection equipment.

  • Capable of understanding and writing CNC code is preferable.
