Job Description:

Leidos seeks an experienced Software Developer to provide support on a high-profile dynamic project in the Herndon, VA area. The Software Developer will be part of a team of developers who expand and maintain a suite of desktop and web-based tools.

Primary Responsibilities

The Software Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining all aspects of the application suite. This includes enhancing the software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. The developer shall provide technical solutions and recommendations to leadership as required to ensure program deadlines are met.

The Software Developer will make modifications to the applications to ensure 508 accessibility standards are being met.

The Software Developer will participate in peer reviews of requirements and test documentation.

Working in a Scrum agile development environment, the developer will collaborate with other developers and test team members; adhere to project schedules and milestones; and provide status updates to the Development Lead.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and 12+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
• At least five (5) years of experience as a software developer
• Experienced in the Agile development methodologies
• Experience with computer systems and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
• Knowledge of classification markings and software development
• Experience in developing with software products such as: Java-Script, JAVA, .Net, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and XML
• Experience with software updates, configuration, and change management
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, with an ability to anticipate, effectively diagnose, isolate, and expediently resolve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts
• Must have a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Advance degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least ten (10) years of experience as an applications developer on large-scale project
• Experience with computer systems and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
• Experience in classification markings and software development
• Experience with creating and implementing systems designs and prototypes
• Expert applying software engineering techniques and best practices
• Expert in developing with software products such as Java-Script, JAVA, .Net, CSS, Bootstrap, HTML, and XML
• Expert with software updates, configuration, and change management

Pay Range:
