What you’ll be doing...

As a Simulation engineer for the Verizon Enterprise Digital Twin platform, you will be helping to build various simulation models (Digital Twins), which will enable business units to conduct many ‘what if scenarios’ pertaining to a given use case/strategy. This platform will enable faster and better decision making in various scenarios.

This role is part of the Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI&D) organization at Verizon which focuses on delivering the power of data and AI to drive our marketplace leadership through innovative solutions that create value for our customers, shareholders, V teamers and society, responsibly.

  • Participate in the study and implementation of Digital Twin (DT) prototypes.
  • Help to implement the blueprint of the Digital Twins across enterprise business units, enabling simulation models, and come up with detailed design implementing various state of the art technologies.
  • Implement processes and standards for running digital twin model learning tests and experiments.
  • Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve digital twin models.
  • Implements the strategy for DT/ML/AI tools and processes,
  • Implement methodology and solution blueprint for various simulation modules of the digital twins.
  • Build prototypes and proof of concepts to prove out new technologies and products that will be adopted into the overall AI&D platform ecosystem.
  • Integrate with simulation platforms and synthetic data generators.
  • Partner with other teams in AI&D and other lines of business to successfully accomplish goals

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Computational Science or other related field.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with digital twin modeling, simulation, optimization techniques and tools (e.g., Anylogic, Matlab).
  • Experience with Java, and or Python, C++.
  • Experience in data-driven approach to analyze problems and deliver robust, optimized solutions.
  • Experience working with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of GCP.
  • Experience with various database technologies (e.g., RDBMS, Big Data Technologies).
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques.
  • Experience/familiarity in building and engineering digital twins solutions with simulation technique.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
