"**Senior/Principal Supplier Engineer****Preferred Qualifications****Job Description:**- Core team member in the Supply Chain Program Management and Quality Team supporting factory and products from pre-production builds through end of life.- Contribute to analysis of Process designs relative to DF* Criteria (Design-For-Manufacturability, Design-For-Assembly, and Design-For-Test)- Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in contract manufacturer factories in the USA and China.- Recommends equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and root cause analysis targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.- Support second-sourcing qualification activities at component level- Review and approve all product specifications prior to ECO release- With Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering, develop Quality Control Plans for manufacturing- Manage all ECO cut-in / phase in processes for the smooth integration of product changes- Support Material Review Board (MRB) toward dispositioning Non-Conforming product- Conduct First-Article Inspections (FAI) on new products and revisions- Monitor and react to quality excursions through product life cycle.- Drive design of fixtures and tooling to support/improve manufacturing productivity & efficiency of products.- Drive continuous improvement of yields at all relevant system and/or PCBA manufacturing operations.- Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.**Required Qualifications:**- Experience in Process development for manufacturing of electrical / electronic assemblies in a global environment- Knowledge of PCBA and system level manufacturing processes- Exposure to Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies- Very good verbal and written communication skills- Knowledge of various troubleshooting and debug methodologies**Desired Qualifications:**- Knowledge in DF* methodologies- Basic understanding of programming languages, SQL- Knowledge or understanding of SPC and Process quality management techniques- Understanding of supplier auditing techniques- Work in Matrix environment- Analytical skills- Data driven decision making and results orientation**Education and Experience:**- BS or MS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or other engineering/technical fields.- 2-3 years experience in design or manufacturing of electronics products- Experience in PCBA, chassis, electronic systems fabrication, assembly, and test required.**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
