Job Description:
The Defense Health Operation of Leidos is currently looking for a Software Engineer to support the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, CT. NSMRL conducts research and investigates the effects of medical, psychological, and performance issues associated with the health and performance of naval personnel in operational and non-operational settings.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications and
applying frameworks involved in a software release, subject to final active duty or GS approval.
Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing
involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release lifecycle
and resulting in a software product, subject to final active duty or GS approval.
Test, evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and calibrate existing and new equipment. Contractor shall
not manipulate any Government equipment without prior approval of the local Biomedical Department.
Acceptance is subject to final Biomedical Department inspection and approval.
Assist in developing real-time device interfaces (e.g., laptop and tablet interfaces, etc.), subject to final
active duty or GS approval
Draft sections for insertion into reports from documentation of support provided, subject to final
Government approval and submission.
Provide research support to various experimental protocols, as directed by the COR.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus 4 years relevant experience
The candidate will be required to acquire, at a minimum, a SECRET classification access level. Preference will be given to a candidate who already has this clearance level.
Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship is required.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
