The Homeland Security Solutions Operation within the Intelligence Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Cloud Systems Administrator 1 (CSA) to work in Kearneysville, West Virginia. The SCA1 will join our growing USCG IMS engineering team. The IMS team is looking for an experienced Cloud Systems Administrator to work on a cloud development and deployment team. The team is involved in the deployment and maintenance of multiple operational cloud deploy IT enterprise application solutions to over 65,000 end users (EUs). A successful candidate will have experience with Jenkins/Gitlab/Chef or other automation solutions and will have a firm grasp of the AWS CLI and Python and Powershell. Our program operates on a modified agile implementation to deliver capabilities to other mission teams focused on the customers operations domains. Limited potential for travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for short durations in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) United States Coast Guard’s Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) – Alexandria, VA command cadre.

Basic Qualifications

  • Possession of a current DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • BS in Engineering (or a related discipline) and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience OR equivalent years of work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Proficient in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
  • Proficient in AWS/Cloud technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures
  • Understanding of code baseline management
  • Experience with Engineering Review Boards and Change Management
  • Knowledge of the Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
  • Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
  • Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.
  • Must have at least one of the following DoD Cyber work force certifications; Security +, CCNA-security, CISSP, CISM, IAT II

Preferred Qualifications

  • Native cloud templating services like AWS Cloud Formation
  • Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
  • Familiar with cross domain architectures at various levels
  • Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI automation
  • AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Certification(s)
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior DoD experience working on DODIN circuits
  • Certification in ITILv4.0 foundations
