Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a SharePoint System Administrator to support a large enterprise IT contract. The SharePoint System Administrator will support infrastructure services, operations and maintenance across multiple geographic locations and networks. The SharePoint System shall deploy, operate and maintain SharePoint services, including load balancing, PKI authentication, and claims-based authentication as well as support site setup, permission management, troubleshooting, and service requests for customers as well as content and knowledge managers. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities of customers.

This role requires an individual that is technical, customer oriented and familiar with using SharePoint. This individual should be detail oriented in order to capture customer inquiries appropriately. Role requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Rapidly distinguish isolated user problems from enterprise-wide application/system problems.

  • ID ways for direct Identity Management/Authentication integration.

  • Help migrate users to newer versions of SharePoint.

  • Monitor enterprise SharePoint systems and critical services; conduct routine daily checks, deep dive analysis of incident trends, and assist with enhancing monitoring capabilities utilizing SCOM, SolarWinds, and/or Splunk.

  • Conduct routine maintenance, patching, STIGs, and hot fixes on multiple SharePoint systems.

  • Perform troubleshooting for backend SharePoint services to include authentication and database connectivity.

  • Perform maintenance on sites and sub-sites

  • Help process asset library, risk database, and business rhythm calendar (Leidos best practice) to enhance SA for stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.

  • Provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for Root Cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives.

  • Support customer requirements in a 24/7/365 mission environment.

  • Update operations and monitoring documentation for 24/7/365 IT Watch personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multiple SharePoint farms in an enterprise-level SharePoint 2013 and later environment

  • Experience with Tier 2 system administration and DevOps to include patch management, troubleshooting, and restoration of services of multiple SharePoint farms

  • Experience with deploying SharePoint migration and upgrades, including SharePoint, Server, and SQL Databases 2016 or 2019

  • Experience in SharePoint PowerShell modules to configure and administer SharePoint and to automate tasks

  • Experience investigating and resolving SharePoint performance issues, such as front-end web server performance, indexing performance, and working with the Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Experience troubleshooting issues in a growing, multiple classification, multiple enclave environment to include SharePoint configuration and web part issues

  • Experience with incident analysis, after action reviews, and problem management/root cause analysis

  • Effective time management skills, to include monitoring and managing IT Service Management ticket queues

  • Strong oral and written communications skills; ability to explain enterprise service deployment and document SharePoint configuration/architecture

  • Ability to review and monitor system usage reports

  • Track record of working effectively within a team, and support to peers toward improved processes and results

  • Experience with support ticket management systems such as ServiceNow

  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP)

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 4-8 years or a Master’s Degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of experience may be substituted.

  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.

  • TS/SCI with Poly is required for this position position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certification: Managing Microsoft SharePoint Server or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate

  • ITIL Foundations

  • Familiarity with managing Microsoft Teams and Microsoft OneDrive

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00
