Job Summary

As a Mid-Level Logistician / Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible to provide support for diversified, high technology systems, in a wide variety of world-wide installations and utilization requirements for both land and sea-based Electronic Warfare weapon systems of the U.S. Navy. The complexity of the weapon systems combined with the necessity of maximizing their economic and effective utilization requires the application of broad technical and managerial Product Support knowledge.

You will provide program acquisition and logistics management, planning, coordination, and consulting support for engineering and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements (Product Support Management, Supply Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation, Maintenance Planning & Management, Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering Technical Data, IT Systems Continuous Support, Facilities & Infrastructure, Manpower & Personnel, Support Equipment and Training & Training Support) in support of Logistics Managers, Program Managers and customers. Supervise activities in the engineering and logistics areas of industry expertise and support analyses, studies, problem identification and resolution, program planning and policy development and implementation. Monitor progress and customer satisfaction with respect to assigned area schedules and deliverables.

Essential Experience/Functions:

• Knowledge of and experience with Analytic LCM (life-cycle management) software such as Opus, and/or the Computerized Optimization Model for Predicting and Analyzing Support Structures (COMPASS).
• Experience working with a highly talented and motivated team in accomplishing tasks for multiple programs requiring a broad range of Product Support/logistics knowledge and expertise.
• Collaborate daily with customer(s) to determine specific needs and requirements and to provide counsel within the expert area, including overseeing task execution.
• Develop and/or review program reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc.; provide comments; organize, consolidate, and adjudicate comments from various organizations, and prepare reports.
• Analyze Logistics Product Data (LPD) and build database for the development and analysis of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
• Perform expert-level reviews, analysis, and validation of engineering and logistics products; prepare executive-level reports and briefs.
• Experience with data analytics and the four types typically encountered (Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive and Prescriptive) and how they are modeled are required.
• Assist the Configuration Management Integrated Product Team through supporting Configuration Management efforts by evaluating technical issues for supportability ramifications and providing recommendations (including change proposals) for resolution of any identified issues.
• Thorough knowledge of the methodology for determining reliability, maintainability, and availability and a thorough understanding of their interrelationships and potential for influencing the design and development process.
• Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts, ILS certification and provisioning.
• Experience conducting Business Case Analysis (BCAs) and feasibility studies.
• Consult as industry expert with the logistics managers, program managers and customers, advising on logistics program policy development, planning, and implementation.
• Interface with various technical and logistics team leaders daily to exchange information and coordinate related task performance.
• Has the ability to solve complex Product Support problems and demonstrates good judgment. Has the ability to manage and mitigate risk to ensure program success following industry and or Department of Defense best practices.
• Supervise and train mid and junior-level personnel in the technical aspects of assigned work.
• Perform all other Product Support position related duties as assigned or requested.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Logistics or related field and at least 5 years of job-related experience. (A High School diploma with 10 years of Military or DoD experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.)
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship required.
  • Excellent communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and Logistics software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
