Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking an Inventory & Logistics Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Beltsville, MD facility.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible to strategically develop and implement value stream-specific material replenishment strategies, consistent with Model Plant Rules and guidelines to provide the right parts in the right quantities at the right time to support plant operations. The role will require the individual to be familiar with the complete range of Aerospace ERP Rules and the ongoing management of supplier relationships both directly and through his/her subordinates. Since this position manages both entry level and experienced subordinates, it is critical that this individual be capable of training and developing direct reports.

In this function you will:

  • Oversees all logistics activities for the Beltsville site including managing the hourly shipping and receiving team to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Work with cross functional team daily supporting the needs of the customer, engineering, and quality
  • Lead all Month end shipping activities to support the plant's metrics
  • Direct all stockroom locations for the site including Raw material, sub-components, and finished goods locations
  • Manage all External to stock activities including management of hourly material support specialist across the site to ensure turn around time is met
  • Supervise all inventory management processes including cycle count, physical inventory, CI of Inventory locations and processes
  • Establish and enforce standard work of shipping, receiving, and material support specialist team
  • Analyze transactional data for shipping, receiving, and inventory movement to optimize the process and eliminate waste
  • Work with Industry 4.0 Engineers to implement autonomy within the shipping and receiving process
  • Lead Projects within the stockroom to help eliminate human error within the Inventory management process to achieve 95% Inventory Accuracy

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in material management, industrial engineering, finance or supply chain management or a recent Eaton Development Program participant
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Relocation benefits are available for those within the United States willing to relocate to the Beltsville, MD area. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beltsville, MD will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MFG Pro or ERP Systems experience
  • Previous experience with Logistics or managing a shipping and receiving team
  • Microsoft Office- Power BI, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong Problem-solving skills
  • Data Analytics experience
  • CI Trainings- Green/Black Belt, CI experience
  • Manufacturing/Inventory Management experience
  • Experience with Customer/Supplier relations
  • Strong communication skills
