Work you'll do

As a Sr. Manager within our Supply Chain team, you will:

  • Design and translate the corporate mission into supply chain strategies to help our clients transform their supply chain capabilities
  • Drive competitiveness by reducing supply chain logistics complexities
  • Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects
  • Responsible for the development of business and vendor relationships
  • Lead pursuit teams focused on new opportunities and lead major aspects of the proposal development process
  • Responsible for project(s) financials including development of financial plans
  • Lead day-to-day interactions with executive clients and Deloitte team
  • Establish relationships in strategic client positions; negotiate, lead, and facilitate these relationships
  • Display both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
  • Provide counseling/coaching, leadership and support for delivery teams and staff
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process
  • Focus on managed revenue targets as well as achieving quarterly or yearly sales objectives for new business
  • Lead business development initiatives to grow our practice
  • Manage resources and budget on client projects

Professionals drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness by furnishing proactive insights and enhancing decision-making. Teams advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions by providing operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions. Teams also optimize operations, product, and material flows, and create greater synergy for the supply network to optimize mission performance.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • 10+ years experience in transportation, freight and logistics
  • Experience pursuing freight and transportation-related contracts with state DOTs
  • Experience leading a multidisciplinary teams (engineers, planners, traffic modelers and freight/commodity forecasters), directing and overseeing their analysis to inform strategic and investment related decisions
  • Engineering/design background with a demonstrated history of conducting long range transportation planning across multiple modes (road, rail, air, maritime)
  • Travel up to 25%(While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)


Preferred:
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
  • Experience managing c-suite client relationships, presenting to senior decision makers, etc.
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
  • Proven track record of consistently attaining managed revenue targets as well as achieving quarterly or yearly sales objectives for new business
  • Candidates will have previous project experience developing federally compliant statewide freight & logistics plans
  • Understanding of freight and logistics trends, freight investment business case development, and multi-modal operations
