What You Will Do

Responsibility for leading the development and management of business partnerships with the specified business and their leadership teams This role will formulate IT strategy and architecture in alignment with business strategy and objectives. The individual will drive key programs and IT services, as well as, innovation and continuous improvement in the application of technology to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Member of specific business leadership team with responsibility for ensuring this role is the trusted IT partner
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with business leadership and teams
  • Manage the IT budget and guide the business in effectively investing in Information Technology to meet strategic objectives
  • Lead and guide the business on aligning IS strategy with business strategy.
  • Provide knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and prioritizing initiatives
  • Prepare, define, and monitor IT projects to address business needs
  • Manage alignment of project deliverables with business requirements throughout the project and delivery life cycle
  • Accountable for leading a team of IT Professionals, both direct and matrix, to ensure IT standards are maintained
  • Work with IT teams to ensure IT services provided are consistent with business expectations

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive IT value creation and customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leadership and act as a liaison between IT and the business.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure services provided are delivered in a cost-effective manner and to high standards.
  • Ability to learn and understand business requirements, issues and processes
  • Participate in the development of business and IT strategic plans
  • Lead collaborative efforts for business case development
  • Positively challenge and question business partners on needs and benefits
  • Charter and prioritize program and project initiatives in conjunction with business leadership
  • Ownership of business focused IT metrics that ensure transparency of IT Services
  • Identify opportunities where conflicts/synergies/redundancies exist between business capabilities and systems to improve IS effectiveness
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, standards, procedures, and associated documentation including but not limited to computer systems validation, Global Change Control, SOX, and PMO standards
  • Contribute to the budgeting process and lead and recommend CERs for division IT projects
  • Liaise with other IT stakeholders in project management, architecture and governance to ensure alignment and a smooth integration of process output with the rest of the IT environment
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, manufacturing architects and/or other IT resources in providing IT services and initiatives to the business
  • Communicate on projects by ensuring regular status updates and managing communication within team, IT organization and business leadership and stakeholders

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of professional work experience in IT/IS and/or business discipline, including people leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge (5+ years) of Supply Chain Operations and/or Integrated Business Planning preferably but not limited to medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IT requirements
  • Experience working with internal and external cross-divisional team members, preferably with IT projects
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with both divisional leaders and technical teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand systems, interrelationships and recommend enhancements, and building IT strategy
