Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Linton, IN.

You
will order, receive, inspect, inventory, store, maintain, and issue supplies and equipment to support daily operations. You will determine condition of material and supplies and arrange disposal when a surplus occurs or materials become obsolete. You will provide a variety of other logistics tasks such as configuration management and data management in support of components, equipment, and/or systems.

As the Logistics Specialist, you will perform many daily duties, including:

  • Maintaining supply accountability records.
  • Performing document register reconciliations as required. Assisting in ensuring contract provisions are met.
  • Researching and resolving inventory and/or system problems.
  • Performing inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property control in support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations.
  • Applying knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues. May require knowledge of specialized processes or technical skills.
  • Coordinating daily with supply chain management groups to verify requisition entry and accuracy, tracking and reviewing status to recommend procurement options, and monitor shipments of material until receipt.
  • Monitoring request orders through entire acquisition process, providing cataloging support for all task orders, and interfacing daily with military material managers and supporting personnel.

Minimum Requirements

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school.
  • Five (5) years of job-related experience or equivalent in material management and/or in military, government, Department of Defense (DOD), or commercial supply chain logistics.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office software, databases, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills through prior work experience with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of logistics and supply principles, supply chain management.
  • Understanding and demonstrated ability operating application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Office.
  • Requires the ability to travel, as requested (10%).
  • Position requires active Secret clearance. Must be a United States Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with procurement logistics.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
