Job Description

The Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) team is seeking applicants for the Risk Evaluation and Adaptive Integrated Monitoring (REAIM) intern position. AIM is GCTO’s continuous improvement initiative to further embed end to end risked-based quality management (RBQM) via implementation of advanced analytics. REAIM is responsible for driving all aspects of Adaptive Integrated Monitoring pertaining to Headquarters sponsored clinical trials. The intern will engage with the REAIM organization and their associated project teams throughout participation in and/or leadership of initiatives that drive the efficient and ethical conduct of clinical trials across GCTO.

Activities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide support for REAIM’s strategic initiatives
  • Generation of performance metrics and/or process maps and gain knowledge of the software solution used to operationalize AIM
  • Support development of advanced analytics & adaptive integrated monitoring activities, including Quality Tolerance Limit (QTL) analysis, Key Risk Indicators (KRI) study and Central
  • Statistical Analytics to support identification of important study issues which require monitoring, management, and adaptation of study plans.
  • Support development of Central Monitoring Plans (CMP) and clinical data specifications aligned with critical data, process, and risk assessments
  • Assist in organizational efforts to simplify and standardize global processes
  • Development of tools to enhance conduct of clinical trial operations
  • Exposure to regulatory requirements of risk-based quality management, clinical research and drug development with direct activities supporting country operations
  • Development of a capstone presentation illustrating internship activities and deliverables
  • Development of effective communication

Required Education and Skills:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BA degree program in a science or math related discipline.
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning on 5JUN2023
  • Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of collegiate study by June of 2023.
