About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp [FEU].

This position is responsible for Assisting Distribution Operations with the management of their capital portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, publishing and/or distributing reports as needed.
  • Supporting systems and process improvements for First Energy Utility Operations.
  • Promoting safety and safe work practices.
  • Providing storm support including off hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Supporting role to management and professionals following well-defined practices
  • Providing a consistent level of service, continuous support and proactive involvement to leadership and peers.
  • Supporting Utility Operations in reaching goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Initial participation in the development of programs and policies.
  • Recommending and developing solutions to moderately complex issues and assignments.
  • Supporting process improvement activities through collaboration with other Engineering departments and corporate departments; developing process improvements and efficiencies to improve functions.

Qualifications:

  • Two or four year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline preferred, with a minimum 0-2 years professional work experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years of direct, related experience will be considered.
