Job Description

Our Manufacturing Division IT Life Cycle Management (LCM) Planning & Execution Team is responsible the integrated, risk-based LCM planning for the shop floor and lab automation and IT assets at the Manufacturing Division Human Health (HH) sites. The effective risk based management of the shop floor automation and IT assets will ensure that our manufacturing division and lab computer systems enable the uniterrupted, uncontrained and compliant supply of our products by reducing deviations, discards, and downtime caused by the manufacturing and lab computer systems. The integrated planning utilizes asset information maintained in Remedy (transitioning to ServiceNow) CMDB to track and report the planned LCM activities at the sites. The Life Cycle Management Planning and Execution Team is responsible for

  • Active engagement with the sites to maintain risk based life cycle modernization plans for shop floor and lab systems

  • Active enangement with above site CoEs and technical teams to incorporate input into the integrated LCM plans for the site.

  • Management of metrics and reporting for the LCM governance of the shop floor and lab systems

  • Development and maintenance of standard LCM processes across Manufacturing Division HH sites.

  • Development of data analytics and reporting tools and processes to support LCM programs.

  • Ensuring cyber risk and business continuity are addressed across the HH manufacturing sites.

Under the supervision of the Associate Director – IT Life Cycle Management Planning & Execution, the Sr. Specialist, IT Life Cycle Management CoE will assume responsibility for the development of processes and principles to support the Life Cycle Management CoE and assist in the sustainment of other life cycle management activities including portfolio project execution and development and maintenance of standards. This position will be responsible for:

  • Creates, governs and maintains LCM processes and principles

  • Provides status and metrics portfolio governance and project execution

  • Drives and measures realization of LCM benefits

  • Supporting the portfolio governance process to ensure remediation/modernization projects are aligned with standards including the Digital Shop Floor Platform for Technology standards and Blueprints and integrated into the overall strategic business, IT and financial plans

  • Overseeing portfolio project execution at sites

  • Ability to work on a team that encourages courage and candor and drives rapid disciplined decision making.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Computer Science or similar degree.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of manufacturing shop floor and lab computer systems/IT experience.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and excellent project management skills.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of IT processes and System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Flexibility is required to interact globally across time zones

  • Proven track record of delivering results with a high degree of client focus

  • Ability to effectively communicate with various project stakeholders including, IT leadership, business customers, team members, and other IT colleagues.

  • Strong collaboration, presentation and influencing skills

  • Must be comfortable communicating with all levels in the organization

  • Ability to work effectively with clients, vendors and technical staff at all levels.

  • Solid understanding of service delivery and financial and budgeting activities within a shared services environment.
