The Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) organization at our Company's Headquarters in Kenilworth, NJ is responsible for the search, evaluation and transaction of all late-stage (post-PoC in humans) therapeutic candidate deals as well as enabling technology deals supporting the Business Development & Licensing objectives for our Research Labs across all therapeutic and functional areas. Intern experiences to include:

BD&L intern will conduct assessments on industry trends and competitive landscape and should have a strong scientific acumen to translate scientific and technical information in order to frame attractive business development opportunities. The role will also involve collaboration with BD&L team members to help identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities with a focus on cutting-edge science across different modalities and technologies to enhance, enable and expand our Company's pipeline.

BD&L intern will also develop an understanding of how our Company initiates deals, the elements of search & evaluation, due diligence practices, and transactions to establish partnerships that enable our Company to have the best global pipeline and cutting edge technologies in the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and driven individual, looking for a broad-based experience in a dynamic area within our Company that utilizes cutting edge of science.

Required Education and Experience:

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate program pursuing a Ph.D. or M.D. or pursuing an MBA with an undergraduate or graduate degree in a scientific discipline.
• Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2022.
• Candidates must have some level of scientific or business training/experience beyond undergraduate coursework.
• Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Candidates should have basic understanding of biopharmaceutical R&D as well as knowledge of the industry landscape preferred.
• Candidates should have Ph.D. in scientific discipline or M.D. but not required.
• Candidates should have strong critical thinking capability and creative problem solver.
• Candidates should have strong communication skills, organizational skills, and business/scientific acumen.
• Candidates must be flexible, adaptable and be able to work on a task by task basis.
