Job Description

The Specialist, Business / Technical Analysis is responsible for working as a part of a team to implement Information Technology (IT) initiatives/projects which will enable our company to deploy consistent global business processes, common global information, and a supporting IT solution suite.

The individual will work across various phases of projects and complete duties as needed or assigned. This position requires knowledge and experience in own discipline while still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. The position will build knowledge of the company, processes, and customers and will solve a range of problems while providing possible IT solutions.

This position receives a moderate level of guidance and direction and applies team skills, listening and integrating diverse perspectives from across the work group; contributes and adds value to the achievement of team goals.

Functional Expertise:

This position concentrates on IT initiatives and department activities while coordinating requirements in compliance with computer validation control and Corporate standards. This position will determine short term and long range strategies for systems and projects to meet business demands. Responsible for providing technical support, project support and leadership to plant project teams.

Responsibility:

This Specialist, Business / Technical Analysis position is responsible for providing client services support for enterprise and manufacturing information systems at the Wilson site including ERP, Lab, Maintenance, Production Operations and Enterprise systems. This role will partner with site cross-functional teams and global support functions to ensure successful system functionality and operations. This position will support our packaging & laboratory operations, quality operations, supply chain functions and general business areas. This position will be heavily engaged in compliance related initiatives and ensuring our systems meet all expected quality guidelines. The Specialist, Business / Technical Analysis will be an individual contributor reporting to Director of Automation & Information Technology.

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

The Specialist, Business/Technical Analysis will be responsible for supporting the following as the discipline requires:

  • Trouble-shooting IT issues related to the appropriate functional area.

  • Maintaining the IT systems in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMPs).

  • Providing support as a representative of or leading a small team providing IT assistance in fulfilling the requirements for the team. Accountable for technical contribution to project team or sub-team.

  • Reviewing IT system documents, preventive maintenance, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Procedures and safety.

  • Developing and supporting corrective actions for investigations related to IT systems.

  • Use IT knowledge to assure the efficient operation of variety of IT systems.

  • Participates in audits and training programs in the area of responsibility.

  • On-floor support of manufacturing activities.

  • Provides client services support for business area applications.

  • Participation in Kaizen events.

  • SOP development and review.

  • Direct support of regulatory inspections and audits.

  • Direct support of validation activities and all other associated Quality functions.

  • Fulfills other duties as requested by the site.

  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.

  • Applies limited judgment and discretion.

  • Responds to standard requests from customers.

  • Aware of costs and assists in controlling costs related to own work.

  • Manages contractors and temporary project personnel.

Qualifications:

  • B.S., B.A., or M.S. in Information Technology or equivalent discipline.

  • Minimum of four years’ experience in support of business / Information Technology in a corporate environment.

Skills:

  • Experience in computer validation and systems lifecycle development methodology.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise wide projects and initiatives.

  • Experience authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures, on-the-job-training, and other controlled documents.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and support others through a culture of inclusion, feedback, and empowerment.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving, and/or Right First-Time methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of the regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical applications.

  • Data Integrity acumen.

  • Performance Management Process (PMP) Certification.
