The Senior Specialist role in Master Data Strategy and Integration (MDSI) Performance Data Management focuses specifically on providing support for master data management, data governance, stewardship, and data integration to downstream consumers of US Performance Master and Product Master data.

The Senior Specialist is expected to help facilitate communication between multiple areas of the organization to meet the expanding needs of the US Markets as it relates to performance reporting. Strong project management and communication skills are required for frequent engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, Analytics, Business, SIP, Privacy, outside Vendors and Partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of data systems, platforms, flows, integrations, and processes required to effectively master and provision data assets.

  • Strong business acumen with a keen ability to understand how data (HCP, patient, account) can be leveraged to inform critical decisions.

  • Defines and collects necessary requirements to meet the business stakeholder needs (marketing, sales, account management, operations).

  • Understanding of sales crediting process, sales teams and business rules

  • Engages with the Business, SIP, and 3rd parties to govern, inform and provide recommendations on data changes.

  • Investigates and provides business analysis for reported data issues and requests for product and performance information; recommends data quality and/or process improvements based on outcomes.

  • Cascades and facilitates communication within respective MDSI Teams, the Business, SIP, IT, and outside vendors as necessary.

  • Prepares visual aids and provides presentations for team meetings and sales teams.

  • Develops and maintains production and process documentation (i.e. SOPs and guidance documents).

  • Write advanced SQL queries to problem solve and present meaningful insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Education Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, IT or other related fields

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales operation role or sales and marketing support area

  • Experience with, and understanding of Performance Master Data including Boutique Data (BTQ), government data (CMOP, 340B and DoD), DDD, Rx, and Patient

  • Experience with working with 3rd party vendors for data consumption, analysis and reporting

  • Experience with and understanding of frozen pricing and vendor parallel process

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure completion within a specific timeframe, that include cross functional teams

  • Experience with, and understanding of US Data Hub, Customer Master Data and market definition process

  • Possess exceptional organization and communication skills

  • Flexible to change in a fast-paced matrix environment

  • Knowledge of or experience in the Master Data management and SQL, including a working knowledge of database application development (I/T development or Business owner requirements)

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical data, analytics and project management

  • Experience working with Specialty Pharmacy and Distributor data aggregation and integration engagements
