This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up hub built within a major multinational with the goal to build a world class data platform for the division.

The Team

The Data Platform Team at our Animal Health division of our company provides the development, support, and roadmap for the advanced analytics data platform. The Team’s area of responsibilities is the capture, ingestion, transformation, storage, architecture, implementation of ML models and end user consumption end points such as self-service and APIs. The platform provides deep analytical insights for reporting and development of products for the market to aid in animal traceability, monitoring, well-being, actions, and other features based on descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.

The Role

Working at the cutting edge of the Animal Health Intelligence division of our Company, we are searching for a self-motivated, well communicative, experienced active hands-on Customer Engagement Lead that will lead the effort to interact with multiple stakeholders across Animal Health, gather their support and ownership of the data and work being done by the Data Platform Team.

The Data Platform Lead will work closely with the Data Lead and the different consumption teams – to understand their needs, roadmap of delivery and to setup the operational model between the business and technical Team and lead the readiness assessment of data owners/stewards as well as evangelizing the importance of governance and their training of the data catalog tool.

You will have a chance to be in contact with data generated from the most modern technologies in the animal wellbeing space and to have an impact on how the data is used to improve animal wellbeing. The position will be a hybrid position or even remote for the right candidate.

  • Onboard and Support of Business Stakeholders | Support business stakeholders in the process of using Data Platform tools such as Collibra and Market Place

  • Communicate Stakeholder Feedback to the Data Core Capabilities Team | Ensure the business facing tools can be adjusted and replaced if needed to better serve the business stakeholders needs

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience | Skills | Knowledge

Required

  • Five plus combined years working in Marketing, Consulting, Data Product Owner, Data Owner, Data Steward, Customer engagement or related field

  • Two Plus years working in a Cloud Data Platform Team

  • Experience engaging with different consumers – such as application development, customer care, digital marketing, and others

  • Deep understanding of Big Data technologies and cloud as well as Data Platform, Data Marketing and Data Product concept

  • Experience defining and tracking customer engagement KPIs

  • Experience presenting and influencing various stakeholders including leadership

  • Experience using data as an asset to generate value for business

  • Principled written and verbal communications with the ability to reach both non-technical and technical people with confidence, clarity, and focus

  • Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos

  • Enthusiasm and motivation for Data and understanding the potential, discovery and capabilities it presents

  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms and has driven the adoption of the platform and the technologies/concepts

Preferred

  • Direct experience in data warehousing design, tuning and ETL/ELT process development

  • Experience as a Data Steward or Data Engineer

  • Experience with Data Marketplace, self-service analytics, data product model

  • Experience with data platform tools / services such as DataBricks, EMR, S3, AWS data services, Collibra, Alation, MDM tools, Snowflake

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical experience, additional years of experience can be used in lieu of degree

  • Experience working in a startup environment

  • Experience in Software Engineering, Software Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Big Data and Analytics, or Cloud Networking

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

$107,600.00 - $169,400.00
