At our Company's campus in Elkton, Virginia, we have an Associate Specialist, Quality Assurance position available on our Quality Team. The manufacturing facility is located in the Shenandoah Valley along the Shenandoah River and the Blue Ridge Mountains a short distance from the University of Virginia and James Madison University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply their enthusiasm and skills as a member of a multidisciplinary team supporting the operation of vaccine product manufacturing facilities.
Position Responsibilities
Providing Quality support for vaccine, biologic, and sterile manufacturing processes through collaboration with Technical Operations and Operations
Learning new processes and procedures
Reviewing electronic batch records
Provide Quality guidance and assistance in deviation identification and initiation
Support housekeeping and self-inspections
Conduct review of batch records | documentation | data integrity support via the reconciliation of testing results (YSI and FIT process testing)
Initiate Quality retain sample management activities.
12 hour shift rotation that involves working every other weekend | Flexibility

Education Minimum Requirement
Bachelor or Associate degree in a Science discipline (biology, chemistry, engineering, other) or related scientific field
Required Experience and Skills
Strategic, strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, team skills, personal character, and ethics
Strong problem-solving skills and an involved approach to problem solving, with a bias towards seeing problems for oneself in the field
Enthusiasm, confidence, and initiative-taking ability needed for continuous learning and its applications
Motivational ambition to succeed and to help others to do the same Preferred Experience and Skills
Manufacturing, Maintenance or Military environments
Demonstrated verbal/written communication and decision making skills
GMP/compliance requirements for food or pharmaceutical industry
Technical writing skills | Understanding of computer system SAP and Office products
Basic statistical understanding
