Penn Medicine is looking for a full-time Clinical Psychology Intern

Location: 3535 Market St.


Summary:

  • The Psychology Internship is geared to advanced doctoral candidates and comes in the final year of their graduate training. Interns apply through the APPIC match and are drawn from programs throughout the USA. The program is intended to provide clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, as well as rotations in psycho-oncology, consultation/liaison, and bariatric surgical evaluation. By the close of the internship year, interns are prepared for post-doctoral or employment settings in mental health, academic, or medical settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs individual psychotherapy with clients as assigned in the outpatient clinic.
  • Performs bariatric evaluations in the outpatient clinic.
  • Completes 2-4 batteries per year with the Diagnostic Testing Service
  • Acute In-Patient Service 6-month rotation
  • Psycho-oncology Program 6-month rotation
  • HUP Consultation/Liaison Service 3-month rotation

Credentials:

Advanced Doctoral candidate from APA approved graduate programs (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

Master's Degree Clinical Psychology And 2+ years 2-3 years of pre-internship practicum (Required)
