Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for Ambulatory Surgery in our Medical Arts Pavilion. This is a per diem, day shift opportunity. This position is Monday - Friday, with no nights, weekends, holidays or on call commitment. The ideal candidate has experience scrubbing and circulating in Ortho, ENT, GYN and General surgeries.

Summary:

  • Registered Nurses are responsible for establishing a therapeutic relationship and an individualized plan of care with the patient for the Peri-operative period and for communicating that plan of care to his/her collaborative partners. Registered Nurses are accountable for planning, delivering, coordinating, evaluating, and modifying the patient’s care for that defined period of time. The Registered Nurses will effectively transition the plan of care with attention to continuity across shifts and settings. The Registered Nurse will assure communication between patients, families and all members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse delegates and functions in accordance with the NJ Board of Nursing Statutes and Regulations.

Credentials:

  • Registered Nurse - NJ (Required)
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification (Required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Saving (ACLS) Certification – If applicable by unit
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification - If applicable by unit
  • CNOR (Preferred)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Nursing (Required)
  • Greater than 15 months professional nursing experience
  • A registered nurse with an Associate’s Degree with greater than 5 years of clinical experience in a clinical specialty may be considered.
