The opportunity to accelerate our time to insights hinges on our ability to integrate, enrich and govern our disparate and evolving data sources, at speed and scale. The Human Health (HH) IT Data and Analytics team’s mission is to focus on driving these capabilities to increase utilization of data within the organization.

We have an outstanding opportunity for an Entrepreneurial Healthcare Technology Leader who will thrive in a landscape and technology environment which is continuously evolving, requiring a strong leader who is collaborative, self-motivated, takes accountability and drives results. The Associate Director, HH IT US Data Hub Lead, is a key leadership role within the HH IT Data & Analytics (DnA) team and will report into the HH IT Data & Analytics US Capability Lead. The role will involve managing and working with a US team across multiple stakeholders.

The leader will be responsible for development, enhancement, adoption, and utilization of critical aspects of the Data Hub for the US Market, including a) Data Ingestion of critical organization data to support Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Engagement, Strategy partnerships and Alliances b) Curation of re-usable data assets created in partnership with key consuming organizations and tools including Data Scientists, Field and Headquarters Analytics solutions and external partners c) expansion of the US Data Hub to include an adjacent Data Lake environment d) Value Realization with use of these Data Assets.

The person must demonstrate expertise in building and leading a team and being a thought leader in the company for advancing technology and cloud capability throughout our work. The Technology leader should be a vocal advocate for how Technology can partner with its business partners to deliver great results, and should carefully manage a healthy tension between business capability needs (function, speed, agility) and efficiency imperatives (standard capabilities, total cost of ownership). This role will also have significant interaction with our partners, suppliers, and various data & technology providers, so she or he must be a strong and results driven individual.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead US HH IT Data Hub Data Products Capability – Data Ingestion, Integration, Transformation, and Publish capability. This role will be the Product Manager for the US Data Hub Data Products and US Data Hub Capabilities.

  • Leads a team of 3-5 full time employees as well as other resources from our partners to deliver on these needs. Fosters a culture of engaged colleagues through leadership, motivation and ensuring appropriate transparency in all actions and activities while holding self and team accountable for measured results. Serve as a role model for our Company's broader organization.

  • Creates a vision, strategy and 1-3 year plan on how to evolve the HH IT Data Hub. Proven ability to communicate a business-centric technology vision that inspires and motivates the organization.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders across other HH IT DnA teams, other HH IT Delivery teams, HH IT Market teams, Market HH DnA Teams, HH Insights, Analytics & Data team to contribute to our Company's overall success.

  • Apply risk-based decision making to complex problems and consult with relevant subject matter advisors as needed to inform the decision. Operate with Integrity and ensure adherence with organization policies, quality assurance and data protection processes.

  • Drives and owns the information architecture for the US Data Hub data products.

  • Drives and owns the solution architecture for the US Data Hub capabilities.

  • Takes data solutions provisioned by our Company’s Foundation DnA as well as commercial solutions and integrate it for Human Health stakeholders.

  • Viewed as a partner by Executive colleagues who seek to meet the organization’s need through technology.

  • Frequently communicates the Value Realization from the Technology capabilities deployed.

  • Develops and maintains the operating budget for the group, managing all resources, operational enhancement programs and procurement processes.

  • Scans the data and technology landscape to assess how we can use these solutions to support business imperatives.

  • Follows through with Innovation PoC and onboarding of pertinent solutions in partnership with other stakeholders in the organization.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • B.S. or M.S. in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Required & Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated expertise in the Data and Analytics space including strong technical understanding of tools and architecture.

  • Previous experience in Life sciences and Pharma domain.

  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience.

  • Strong expertise in building and supporting Cloud Data solutions.

  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with a variety of stakeholders.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Understanding of US Sales and Marketing data domains is a strong plus.

  • High proficiency in Data Management.

  • AWS Data solution capability support, with special emphasis on AWS services.
