This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients.<br><br>The Vivarium Operations Supervisor will lead a team within the Laboratory Animal Services (LAS) department that supports 14 disease areas including oncology, neuroscience and cardiovascular medicine, providing high quality & consistent in vivo technical research support within our multi-building, multi-discipline research program.<br><br>This supervisory role is an experienced and professional leadership position responsible for the oversight/performance/development of LAS Vivarium Operations associates performing animal care, operational support to the in vivo community and management/development of the vivarium physical plant in a multi-building, multi-discipline, multi-specie research program.<br><br>Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: <br>• Ensure consistent and high-quality humane animal care and on-site vivarium functionality/maintenance.<br>• Confirmation of work and time delegation, quality control, team development and associate management as well as collaborating with the in vivo research community to understand and ensure optimal vivarium service support.<br>• Coordination of vivarium service execution and infrastructure adjustments to support in vivo research objectives.<br>• Ensuring team/building compliance/response with all institutional and regulatory protocols, policies, and guidelines. Ensure facility/animal records. Make programmatic decisions/judgement regarding operational standards/situations.<br>• Vivarium budgetary matters (supplies, daily census, charge-backs).<br>• Review of LAS Operational SOPs and updates as needed.<br>• Driven by the needs of our scientific partner/collaborator, limited routine technical procedures on animals may also be assigned<br><br>[#video#https://youtu.be/B88bPEKkDI4{#400,300#}#/video#]
