Our company’s Information Technology division partners with business colleagues to help serve our patients and customers around the world. The Associate Director, IT Real Estate and Site Security Product Owner is a key member of the product team responsible for the development and execution of strategic initiatives and imperatives for Real Estate and Site Security. Our team consists of dynamic, innovative colleagues dedicated to delivering and advancing our solutions. This critical role will also utilize the Scrum/Agile framework to continue our transformation to adopt those principles. This role will be the Product Owner for the systems utilized in our Real Estate and Site Security workstreams.

The IT Real Estate and Site Security Product Owner is empowered and responsible for:

  • Ensuring the squad/development team is focused on delivering the highest priority, most valuable work using MVP (minimum viable product) approaches
  • Building, managing, mentoring, and coaching a squad/team consisting of direct reports, indirect reports, and external partners
  • Helping to define and articulate the Objective & Key Results (OKRs) for the squad/team
  • Write and prioritize backlog user stories, focusing on business and technical requirements
  • Empowering the team to establish how to deliver development work most effectively and efficiently
  • Securing appropriate stakeholder and customer input and incorporating it into the work of the team
  • Grooms best-in-class product features with detailed analysis of impact vs. value
  • Direct and participate in the squad’s/team’s ceremonies throughout the sprints
  • Works within a cross-functional squad to clarify requirements and delivery expectations with business stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have a cross-functional background and possess the skills and influence to guide the development of the most important key initiatives across any or all segments based on the priorities for the product.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will be the Product Owner for the Real Estate and Site Security applications
  • This position will have responsibility for guiding/managing several employees and external contractors
  • Helps create Objectives & Key Results and translates that into actionable items for the squad/team.
  • Defines the priorities and team deliverables by balancing customer needs, opportunities, and technical debt of the squad/team
  • Shapes and owns the digital product roadmap and vision
  • Owns the creation and prioritization of the digital product backlog for specific digital solutions
  • Incorporates innovation, MVP (minimum viable product), and other ambiguous deliverables to achieve success
  • Participates as a member of the Real Estate and Site Security Squad, coordinating with other Site Security and IT team members
  • Participates in planning of the Squad's sprint, planning of the Squad’s next sprint to reaffirm priorities and clarify the requirements
  • Collaborates with stakeholders as the primary liaison for the Scrum team across the organization, to drive alignment on deliverables and empowerment of the team
  • Stays current with real estate and site security trends, best practices, and innovation opportunities
  • Represents the voice of the customer with respect to digital product features
  • Grooms best-in-class product features with detailed analysis of impact vs. value
  • Owns the creation and prioritization of the digital product backlog for specific digital solutions
  • Works within a cross-functional squad to clarify requirements and delivery expectations with business stakeholders
  • Budget responsibility for assigned Squad(s)/Team(s)

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • MBA/MS preferred

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Exceptional prioritization, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Strong site security acumen; strategic, analytical, and innovative; proactive and self-directed
  • Effective at navigating whitespace/greenfield opportunities
  • 7+ years managing and/or development of systems on a global basis
  • 7+ years leading and managing both internal and external resources
  • Managing third party vendors
  • Extensive experience in working with real estate and site security processes and activities

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7+ years’ experience in leading real estate and site security deployments
  • Experience motivating and leading teams with and without authority
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner
  • Working knowledge of Agile teams and Scrum framework
