Job Description

Vaccines are an important priority for our Company, healthcare providers and healthcare systems that utilize our products. As a member of US Vaccines Contracting and Distribution Strategies (C&DS), you will be responsible for developing innovative private sector customer segment strategies, commercial solutions, and tactics to support account management activities and pull-through of commercial strategies. This position reports to the Director, US Vaccines Purchase Logistics Strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing commercial strategies and managing customer segments for innovative customers such as vaccine service providers that enter the marketplace.

  • Serve as Competitive Intelligence Point performing required activities to assure C&DS compliantly stays informed of vaccine market dynamics.

  • Implementation of unique partnerships or programs as identified by Business Development.

  • Serve as the Covid market impact point including Covid market updates.

  • C&DS assigned special projects as assigned (e.g., vaccine purchase logistics, brand support, finance support, and order to cash related support).

  • Carry out C&DS point responsibility roles.

  • Participate in Agile Rapid Realization teams as required.

The customer manager plays a lead role in working with Product Marketing and Sales organizations where necessary to ensure national account and commercial strategies and tactics are aligned with brand strategies and field sales needs. Collaborates with Commercial Legal, Marketing, Field Sales, Global Market Access, Customer Contract Management, Integrated Account Management, Information Technology (IT) and Finance to ensure that commercial program proposals meet our Company's business objectives. The customer manager serves as a subject matter expert and a key source of information concerning VIQ and its utilization to pull through c contracting strategies. The Customer Manager may also be responsible for performing comprehensive analyses of targeted market segment(s), including assessment of market trends, customer needs, competitor positioning and pricing strategies, with total sales and income potential.

Assignment will provide the Incumbent with the opportunity to develop strategic thinking skills through the development of innovative initiatives that support customer and business needs related to our Company's vaccine products and help to shape the US commercial landscape.

Location: Preference is for candidates who can commute to our Headquarters in Upper Gwynedd, PA but can consider remote applicants too.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: BA/BS Degree.

  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree.

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years combined field sales, product marketing and/or commercial operation support related experience. Vaccine experience is preferred but not essential.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing, supporting, implementing vaccine/other buy and bill product commercial strategies/pricing programs with healthcare providers/healthcare systems, or distributors.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including effective collaboration skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and strong communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Multiple headquarters and field sales positions, resulting in increasing level of responsibility and breadth of experience.

  • Experience in account management and/or marketing positions such as Market Research, Marketing, or distributor operations support.

Communications

  • Experience with Agile processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, be innovative, and perform comprehensive analyses and monitor performance of targeted market segments, including assessment of market trends, customer needs and competitor positioning.
