US Oncology Marketing - Director Digital Innovation

Job Description:

The Director of Digital Innovation for US Oncology will lead a team focused on digital health solutions and emerging customer experience capabilities. The Oncology Innovation team works to identify unmet needs, identify potentials solutions for those needs, seek approval to develop/deploy these innovation solutions in a compliant manner and then scale successful solutions up to deliver full value across the Oncology Franchise and, or our company's US Market.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically develop and deliver high quality digital health strategies and emerging capabilities which have the potential for an improved patient/customer experience or provide better patient outcomes

  • Position will need to continually challenge the status quo to adopt new approaches through experimentation

  • Individual needs to exemplify collaborative leadership mindset while providing subject matter expertise through ability to listen stakeholders, share external best practices, educate on landscape emerging trends/issues and learn/iterate upon successful launch

  • Leads collaboration with cross-company experts by identifying and utilizing governing bodies to define, revise, and champion new experimental strategies and implementation plans within the respective tumor teams

  • Participates and supports enterprise-level initiatives by representing Oncology as ambassador to account for unique needs of the business unit in order to facilitate adoption of new capabilities not created within Oncology

  • Serves as core member of the OOS&I leadership team and ad-hoc member of the CX&SO governance team

  • Successful track record of leading through influence and working across complex matrixed teams in order to build trust with Commercial Legal, Compliance, Privacy and Regulatory colleagues to effectively alleviate concerns and mitigate real/perceived risk from before never tried customer engagement capabilities and digital health solutions

  • People Management & Development - Establish and manage development plans for team members and coach/mentor team members to enable them to grow their capabilities, enable long term career growth, and achieve US Oncology organizational goals

  • Lead a team through white space who will have the ability to bridge the innovation and traditional pharma gap in order to achieve differentiated business goals. Specifically, this team will:

    • Research and understand the external environment and innovation landscape to evaluate potential partnerships or solutions to that can deliver on the Quadruple Aim and making a meaningful impact of the quality of cancer care as well as differentiate our products/services in the marketplace

    • Determine which landscape trends have the greatest unmet need which can be best solved through experimental partnerships or emerging capabilities by defining use cases and associated customer / business value for why tumor teams should pilot (or not)

    • If pilot is determined to be successful and scalable; collaborate as appropriate with Global and key partners (legal, regulatory, privacy, etc.) within the US to enable a well-structured, viable approach to scaling innovative approaches

    • Creates emerging capability charters that clearly articulate unmet customer needs or business challenges; then articulates what success looks like from the business/customer perspective for a solution that addresses the unmet need. Procures tumor team alignment on charter and success criteria prior to launch

    • Deploy, Collect Insights and Measure Value of the new Customer Engagement Capabilities, Digital Health, Population Health and Patient Services Partnerships

    • Upscale successful pilots & innovative solutions into core customer capabilities and then successful transfer them to the US Oncology Capabilities or US HH Capabilities teams for long term capability maintenance

Qualifications / Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred or equivalent degree

  • 12+ years pharmaceutical marketing

  • Proven ability to innovate and deliver digital marketing campaigns that are impactful, drive sales and ROI

  • Experience in developing digital marketing strategies

  • Exceptional knowledge of digital trends and social media technologies that will drive digital audience growth

  • Experience in planning and managing budgets across channels while achieving high volume growth targets

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple changing priorities

  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to lead diverse cross functional teams without formal authority to bring innovative solutions and capability experiments to market

Preferred Experience:

  • Digital Experience at an advertising agency

  • Oncology experience

  • Omnichannel marketing experience
