Job Description:

  • This exciting Associate Director of US Marketing role will help shape the future of the vaccine landscape in the US, by both improving Vaccines Confidence across our portfolio and shaping the commercial strategy by which we bring critical new vaccines to the market.

  • This is a unique time in the world, where the value of vaccinations, their positive impact on public health and improving health equity, and the importance of improving confidence in vaccines are now common parts of everyday dialogue and part of critical initiatives of many government and community leaders.

  • This role will report to the US Marketing Leader, Vaccines Confidence and Pipeline Vaccines

Position Description

  • This critical role will have a broad and deep span of leadership and requires demonstrated experience in strategy development and implementation as well as cross-functional management

Specifically, the individual will have key responsibilities to:

  • Lead above-brand and cross-portfolio Vaccines Confidence strategy and promotional development across key customers, including HCCs, HCPs, Field Engagement, KOLs and Health Systems

  • Partner with vaccine brand teams and cross-functional extended team, including policy, medical affairs, and public affairs, to drive strategic alignment and successful execution

  • Shape US strategic marketing choices for several vaccine pipeline products, including RSV and Dengue, leveraging the new Commercial Excellence Framework

  • Collaborate closely with the Global marketing team, our Research Division, and our US cross-functional team across managed care, policy, pricing, manufacturing, CORE, medical affairs and business development, to ensure US market value proposition is fully addressed in pipeline clinical development programs

Education Minimum Requirements

  • Required: BA/BS

  • Preferred: MBA

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of four (4) years combined strategic marketing, brand management, sales or business support experience

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics and/or customer and market insights to make business decisions and develop, deliver, and optimize efforts

  • Demonstrated ability to make strategic choices using fundamental marketing principles (e.g. segmentation, positioning, etc.)

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills as demonstrated through experience in strategy and marketing business case communication, sales interface, direct customer engagement and/or sales presentations

  • Experience influencing without direct authority, navigating complex or matrix organizations and working successfully with cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to create solutions that drive value for our customers, incorporating innovative approaches where relevant

  • Strong project management skills as demonstrated by prioritizing activities, using resources optimally, establishing appropriate deadlines and ensuring on-time delivery

  • Experience in new product development and engaging with research and development team

  • Experience in a highly regulated environment (with medical/legal review processes)

  • Prior experience in vaccine marketplace
