Then you could be our new Global Marketing Director, Biomarker & Diagnostics.

We are currently recruiting for a Global Marketing Director, Precision Medicine within Oncology Global Marketing. The Global Marketing Director is charged with developing and leading Global Diagnostic Strategies in close collaboration with the Global Disease Leaders and Global Business Leaders in Human Health as well as Diagnostic Development Teams (DxDTs) in our Research Laboratories.

As Global Marketing Director, Precision Medicine you will be responsible for commercial leadership and guidance for the development of diagnostic strategies and plans to support early stage disease, hereunder selection of diagnostic technologies and diagnostic partners, assessment of market adaptability of diagnostic technologies & tests etc. The Global Marketing Director will also be responsible for the development of diagnostic commercialization plans and tactics together with Regional Diagnostic Leads and diagnostic partners for early stage disease. Key focus areas will include developing strategies for early cancer detection, early stage biomarkers and artificial intelligence tools.

The role as Global Marketing Director, Precision Medicine holds the opportunity and requirement to work with multiple tumor-types, molecular targets & diagnostic technologies and interface with a wide range of functional areas to develop and enable World-Class diagnostics to support early stage disease. The role as Global Marketing Director is newly created within the Precision Medicine organization and will be a key member of our Global Oncology Marketing Team, reporting to the Executive Director, Precision Medicine, Global Oncology Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing commercial diagnostic leadership, support and expertise to Diagnostic Development Teams (DxDTs), Global and Regional Marketing Organizations.

  • Short & long-range Business Strategy & Planning; development of diagnostic strategies & tactics for early stage disease that includes early cancer screening, artificial intelligence diagnostic solutions, etc.

  • Providing commercial diagnostic input on activities such as diagnostic target product profile development, partner selection, market research, business cases, BD&L activities etc.

  • Working effectively with all cross-functional internal partners including Human Health, our Research & Development Division, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs as well as external Diagnostic and Pharma partner companies to successfully navigate the internal and external environments.

  • 25% Travel, including some weekends

Position location: Kenilworth, New Jersey

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree

  • Preferred: MSc, MBA or PhD Degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience (Pharma and Diagnostic) is required

  • Strong Pharma or Diagnostic experience within Oncology

  • Pharma & Diagnostic marketing experience

  • High intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset & deep scientific understanding of oncology molecular targets and diagnostic technologies

  • Strong understanding of the role of biomarkers & diagnostics in Oncology Precision Medicine

  • Demonstrated commercial leadership in development of diagnostic product strategy & planning

  • Strong cross-functional and informal leadership skills in problem solving, teamwork, analytical, written/ verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to work with many areas of marketing management including strategy development, competitive dynamics, and issues management in a highly complex and dynamic environment is a must
