IT AUDIT ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, Audit and Assurance Services

Our Company Corporate Audit and Assurance Services provides value-added independent and risk based audit, assurance and advisory services.

Position Overview / Function and Responsibility:

The Associate Director:

  • Leads IT internal audit engagements and assessments across all our Company divisions to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and deliver audit reports that add value to the area audited.

  • Provides guidance and shares knowledge with staff members during the execution of the audits, and participates in performing procedures especially focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues.

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of complex information systems, and utilizes knowledge of emerging technology to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts on the business.

  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills, inspiring teamwork and responsibility with team members.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and techniques to assess risk and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in moderately complex scenarios in accordance with timelines.

  • Applies knowledge to analyze and evaluate scenarios following a risk based approach and maintains supporting documentation.

  • Participates in projects to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.

  • Leads IT policy compliance, system implementation, network security, cybersecurity, third party, cloud and other recurring IT audits.

  • Communicates findings and recommendations to all levels of departmental and operating unit management.

  • Maintains relationships with IT leadership and is viewed as a leader in assurance and trusted advisor.

  • Provides technical guidance and consultation on Company Policies and Procedures/Control Issues to the client and audit staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, accounting, finance or a related discipline

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of IT and/or audit experience.

  • Ability to identify and integrate patterns, trends, and inconsistencies across data sources to determine their broader implications.

  • Coach in ways to improve team cohesiveness and effectiveness.

  • Understanding of core IT management processes at application and infrastructure level (e.g., Logical Access, Change Management, System Development Lifecycle, Information Security, Network Security, IT Ops etc.)

  • Understanding of security and control risks in emerging technology environments (e.g. Cybersecurity, Cloud, Mobile Computing, Robotic Process Automation, etc.)

  • Understanding of SAP business processes (i.e., OTC, FBM), controls (automated, manual, security) and elements of underlying configurations.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

  • Excellent leadership, teamwork and client service skills

  • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment

  • Maintains team’s focus in the face of distractions, problems or crises.

  • Ability to use an open communication style that actively acknowledges other thoughts and opinions.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • A professional audit and/or control, security certification such as CPA, CISA, CIA, CMA, CFE.

  • Significant experience leading IT internal audit, external audit, service organization control reporting and/or IT internal controls engagements.

  • Experience with internal audit risk assessments, SOX/internal controls, CyberSecurity and Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting.

  • Experience working as an IT auditor for a public accounting firm, professional services firm or internal audit department, or comparable experience

  • Big 4 Audit experience.
