Director, Outcomes Research, Prostate Cancer
Job Description
This position resides within our Company’s Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence (CORE), which leads value evidence strategy development and conducts research to inform healthcare decision making. As a member of the CORE team, this position will serve as the lead for prostate cancer. The position reports to the Executive Director, CORE, lung, prostate, and skin cancers.
Position objectives:
To inform and contribute to the value evidence strategy and associated studies which describe clinical, economic, and patient-centered unmet needs and the value the product provides in addressing those needs
To design, execute and communicate results of observational research studies
To communicate findings from the research to relevant internal and external audiences
To generate value evidence required by HTA/payers including value dossiers, evidence synthesis, clinical trial analyses, and economic modeling
To lead discussions with Alliance partner on value evidence strategies and plans
Position accountabilities:
To collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner to ensure research priorities and strategies are aligned
To communicate with relevant external audiences including regulators, health care providers, HTAs, patient organizations, and others
To design and implement outcomes research studies, in collaboration with scientific leaders, patient organizations, academic medical centers, health systems, research organizations, database holders, and others
To prepare outcomes research protocols, statistical analysis plans, and clinical study reports
To ensure findings are communicated effectively at scientific conferences, in publications, dossiers, and by other means
To maintain awareness of scientific developments in the field and provide outcomes research leadership and consultation
To provide expertise on observational study best practices, real world evidence frameworks, and internal standard operating procedures on the conduct of observational research.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Doctoral or Masters’ degree from a recognized school of medicine, public health, management, pharmacy, economics or other related field
Required Experience and Skills:
Expertise/experience in the design and implementation of real-world evidence
A track record of scientific presentations and publications.
3+ years relevant experience if Doctoral degree
5+ years relevant experience, if Masters’ degree only
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Doctoral degree
Experience in Oncology-related outcomes research, epidemiology or health economics preferred.
